Satya Niketan हादसे पर DU Students का जोरदार प्रदर्शन, सिस्टम की जवाबदेही पर सरकार खिलाफ खोला मोर्चा

दिल्ली के सत्यनिकेतन में इमारत गिरने की घटना के बाद दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी के छात्रों का गुस्सा सामने आया है। हादसे के बाद छात्रों ने प्रदर्शन कर सरकार और प्रशासन से जवाबदेही तय करने, मृतकों के परिवारों को उचित मुआवजा देने और छात्रों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने की मांग की। प्रदर्शन के दौरान छात्रों ने हर उस छात्र के परिवार को कम से कम 1 करोड़ रुपये का मुआवजा देने की मांग उठाई, जिसने हादसे में अपनी जान गंवाई। इसके साथ ही छात्रों ने MCD कमिश्नर को तुरंत बर्खास्त करने, छात्र आवासों का सेफ्टी ऑडिट कराने और जरूरतमंद छात्रों के लिए सुरक्षित व सब्सिडाइज्ड हॉस्टल उपलब्ध कराने की मांग की।

छात्रों ने दिल्ली और देशभर में रेंट रेगुलेशन लागू करने का मुद्दा भी उठाया। उनका कहना है कि हॉस्टल की कमी और महंगे किराए के कारण छात्रों को असुरक्षित परिस्थितियों में रहने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ रहा है। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने यूनिवर्सिटी की जिम्मेदारी पर भी सवाल उठाते हुए 1922 के एक्ट का हवाला दिया और पूछा कि बाहर से आने वाले छात्रों को रिहाइश उपलब्ध कराने की जिम्मेदारी आखिर कौन निभाएगा।

The Satya Niketan building collapse in Delhi has triggered fresh anger among Delhi University students. Following the tragic incident, students staged a protest and demanded accountability from the authorities, along with justice and adequate compensation for the families of those who lost their lives. During the protest, students demanded a safety audit of student accommodations, the dismissal of the MCD Commissioner and compensation of at least Rs 1 crore for every student who lost their life. They also raised concerns over the shortage of safe and affordable hostels for needy students and called for subsidised accommodation and rent regulation.

The protesters questioned why students are being forced to live in unsafe and unaffordable conditions despite the university's responsibility towards students coming from outside Delhi. They also raised questions over the closure of hostels across different colleges and demanded clarity on when they would be reopened. Why are DU students angry after the Satya Niketan tragedy?
