Se registran disturbios en Palmarito previo al llamado a huelga en Salcedo

HERMANAS MIRABAL. — Residentes de la comunidad de Palmarito iniciaron intensas protestas nocturnas mediante la quema de neumáticos y el bloqueo de vías con escombros, como contundente preámbulo al paro de actividades convocado para este lunes 7 de septiembre.  Las manifestaciones responden al descontento generalizado de la población ante el deterioro continuo de los servicios básicos y el abandono de la infraestructura vial. De acuerdo con los testimonios recabados en la zona.  Los manifestantes denuncian que llevan más de un año con los trabajos paralizados, lo que genera grandes nubes de polvo constante que provocan enfermedades respiratorias entre los moradores.  Los protestantes expresaron su frustración al no contar con el vital líquido, imposibilitando incluso limpiar las viviendas afectadas por el polvo de la vía paralizada.  Denunciaron que los camiones recolectores tienen más de dos meses sin ingresar al sector, lo que ha obligado a los vecinos a incinerar los desechos en los patios.  Los comunitarios expresaron su indignación ante la falta de respuesta de las autoridades locales y provinciales, asegurando que solo acuden a la zona de manera provisional cuando se anuncian paros o movilizaciones.  Los manifestantes advirtieron que mantendrán la vía bloqueada y que respaldarán firmemente la huelga hasta obtener soluciones concretas por parte del Gobierno central y la municipalidad.
