00:00I don't know what's going to happen with Vegas.
00:01I think John Fisher is going to straighten out.
00:03I think the stadium is going to help him.
00:04The value of his team has already jumped up like fourfold.
00:08They've got investors.
00:09I mean, it's very interesting that they sold a small piece
00:11to an investment group headed up by Mark Cuban.
00:14I know those of us in Vegas are like, please, Mark Cuban,
00:16get up to the point where you're like 30% owner.
00:18I don't think Fisher is going to give it up.
00:19But this does raise the bar for everyone else, and it raises the bar.
00:23And fans and markets should not stop buying into the,
00:27we don't have the money, we're a small market.
00:29There's no such thing as a small market.
00:31I mean, Tampa is a little bit limited because they don't have a stadium.
00:34Kansas City, they have money.
00:35Everyone's got money.
00:36If you don't have money, then freaking make your bank, get out,
00:40sell to a billionaire, and that's the level this is.
00:42I mean, the Angels are going to sell, and that property is amazing.
00:44They're going to sell for $4 billion.
00:46So think about it.
00:47That's sort of bottom of the barrel.
00:49Some of these other teams could easily sell for two and a half, four, five.
00:53We know the Yankees.
00:54I don't know what the Dodgers would be at this point,
00:55but you're talking about $8 to $10 to $12 million properties.
00:59And John mentioned it, too, about all these owners,
01:03and I think you mentioned it, too, Steve, about the Rays.
01:06And the Rays just got bought, right?
01:08And they're immediately putting a new stadium.
01:11In 2029, it's opening.
01:12They just got approval from literally everybody,
01:14and they're going to be opening in 2029.
01:16So they immediately put a stadium there after they got the new owners.
01:19So if you get some people in there that actually care about this stuff,
01:23things happen.
01:24And, Steve, before you go, you mentioned Vegas, and now I'm all in on Vegas.
01:30What is the current status of the NBA in Vegas?
01:33Because Adam Silver seems to be softening on this subject.
01:36Every time they ask me, he's like, oh, well, it's not set in stone.
01:39We don't have any confirmation.
01:40What is going on?
01:41I want NBA in Vegas.
01:43Yeah, I mean, I think Vegas is a lock to get one of the expansion teams.
01:46If that's going to be 2028, the original plan, I don't know.
01:50Frankly, I think that Tom Dundon and the important situation is screwing
01:54everyone up because he may force a move to Seattle.
01:56That's going to block expansion in Seattle.
01:58And I try to tell people I was the only one in the country who did this,
02:00and Carolina fans got all mad.
02:02I try to tell people, private equity owners, some of them are good,
02:05but some are terrible.
02:06And Tom Dundon, the owner of the Canes, this whole thing with the Golden Knights,
02:09they're the evil.
02:10And I was like, Tom Dundon and private equity is the evil.
02:13You don't want owners like that who really don't care a lot
02:16about the community or the team.
02:19So we'll see.
02:20I actually think he's throwing a real wrench into the expansion plan,
02:23and I don't know if it's going to be Seattle and Vegas in 2028.
02:27Maybe this gets pushed back to 2029.
02:28We know teams are – or I'm sorry, ownership groups are interested, guys,
02:31because the Lakers group, I think they were in the lead.
02:35Bob Iger and Kushner were in the lead.
02:37Now you've got a Colangelo group, but the Vegas team is probably going to go
02:40for $7, $8, $10 billion.
02:42Now it's a matter of finding that second market
02:44and hoping that Portland doesn't screw the whole thing up
02:46by trying to move out of Portland and move to Seattle.
02:48and for the time we're going to go.
02:48and they're going to go.
02:49I'll be a big part of that.
02:49I think it's a big part of that.
