00:00We are in the Silverstone Sports Engineering Club Winsternel testing all of the fastest road wheels on the planet
00:05and we have to do a lot of standardizations to make everything fair and the key one is tires
00:09and so for that we are using Continental Grand Prix 5000 STR tires now.
00:15We're doing that for several reasons.
00:16When we tested these in the pedaling efficiency rig last year
00:21they came out the fastest non-TT tire of the bunch
00:25and they come in a good variety of width
00:28so we're testing a 28 and a 30.
00:30Now to make things especially fair we are using the same exact tire every time
00:35so we have one set of 28s and one set of 30s
00:38so we don't mix them up.
00:40We've got rear 28 and front 28 written on them in chalk
00:43so that way everything stays absolutely consistent
00:47and given that these are realistically our benchmark road tire
00:51it seems like the best possible option for this test
00:54because then it will help you make the right choice for your wheels.
