00:00Rumors are circulating that Republicans are pressuring Speaker Mike Johnson to adjourn Congress in the first week of September.
00:08That's right. They want to give Congress a two-month holiday before the midterms, right when so many Americans are
00:16returning to work.
00:17Why? Because they do not want us passing a bill to stop and end the war in Iran.
00:24They do not want Thomas Massey and my Epstein Transparency Act 2.0 to succeed.
00:30That allows prosecutions of the Epstein class.
00:33They do not want our legislation to ban federal funding of flock cameras to get a vote.
00:41We need to stay here and do the work on behalf of the American people.
00:46Congress doesn't need a two-month holiday.
00:48Thomas Massey and I just introduced another discharge petition for Epstein Files 2.0.
00:54As you remember, our first discharge petition worked.
00:57We forced the release of millions of Epstein files and began the unraveling of the Trump presidency.
01:04It was justice for many survivors.
01:07But the Justice Department has still hid millions of documents.
01:10Survivors have not gotten prosecutions and they have not gotten access to some of the FBI forms.
01:17This discharge petition would force the Justice Department under penalty of criminal law to release the files.
01:25And it would allow state attorney generals to prosecute.
01:29I'm calling on everyone in Congress to sign this petition.
01:33But what I saw that bothered me were the names of at least six men that have been redacted that
01:39are likely incriminated by their inclusion in these files.
01:44So that's the first thing that I saw.
01:46It took some digging to find them.
01:49Then I'll let you talk about what you saw.
01:51Well, and we discussed that.
01:53I mean, there are six men, some of them with their photographs that have been redacted.
01:58And there's no explanation why those people were redacted.
02:02And Thomas discovered it through his MIT logic with some of the searches.
02:08But, you know, that's really concerning.
02:10There are six men.
02:11We went in there for two hours.
02:13There's millions of files, right?
02:14And in a couple of hours, we found six men whose names have been redacted who are implicated in the
02:21way that the files are presented.
02:25What's your message to Pam Bondi after what you saw today?
02:30We need to do a little more work.
02:32And I would like, I mean, we'll see her at the Judiciary Committee here in a couple of days.
02:38At the very least, these six men, maybe she can make public.
02:42I mean, we're happy to provide the information to them.
02:46And they should do that.
02:47Are these men U.S. citizens?
02:49What fields do they work in?
02:51Is it finance?
02:52Is it political?
02:54At least one is a U.S. citizen.
02:56At least one is a foreigner.
02:58And the other three or four have names.
03:01I'm not sure if they're foreigner U.S.
03:04And which field do they work in?
03:05Is it finance, banking, political?
03:09One is pretty high up in a foreign government.
03:11And some are there.
03:14One of the others is a pretty prominent individual.
03:17But I think that the point is that these six are just what we found in two hours of a
03:22review of the files that aren't redacted.
03:25The broader issue is why so many of the files they're getting are redacted in the first place.
03:31Yesterday, Congressman Massey and I went to the Department of Justice to read the unredacted Epstein files.
03:38We spent about two hours there and we learned that 70 to 80 percent of the files are still redacted.
03:47In fact, there were six wealthy, powerful men that the DOJ hid for no apparent reason.
03:56When Congressman Massey and I pointed this out to the Department of Justice, they acknowledged their mistake.
04:02And now they have revealed the identity of these six powerful men.
04:07These men are Salvatore Navora, Zorab Mikuladz, Leopig Leonor, Nicola Kaputa, Sultan Ahmed bin Suleyam, CEO of Dubai Ports World,
04:23and billionaire businessman Leslie Wexner, who was labeled as a co-conspirator by the FBI.
04:30Now, my question is, why did it take Thomas Massey and me going to the Justice Department to get these
04:37six men's identities to become public?
04:40And if we found six men that they were hiding in two hours, imagine how many men they are covering
04:47up for in those three million files.
04:50But the story gets worse.
04:52The reality is that Donald Trump's FBI scrubbed these files in March, long before Thomas Massey and I passed the
05:02Epstein Transparency Act.
05:04Now, my bill is clear.
05:06The Epstein Transparency Act requires them to unredact those FBI files.
05:10And yet the Justice Department said to me and to Congressman Massey, we just uploaded whatever the FBI sent us.
05:18And guess what?
05:19The FBI sent scrubbed files.
05:22That means the survivor's statement to the FBI, naming rich and powerful men who went to Epstein's Island, who went
05:31to his ranch, who went to his home and raped and abused underage girls or saw underage girls being paraded,
05:38they're all hidden.
05:39They're all redacted.
05:40It's a little bit of a force.
05:42They're inviting all the members of Congress to go to see the Department of Justice, quote unquote, unredacted files.
05:48But they've got all redacted files from the FBI.
05:52And it's not the fault of the Justice Department attorneys.
05:55They were just told, upload things that Donald Trump's FBI had already scrubbed.
06:01It's a blatant violation of the Epstein Transparency Act.
06:05But it also asks a fundamental question.
06:09Who are they protecting?
06:10Why are they protecting these rich and powerful men, people I call part of the Epstein class?
06:18Why are we in a country where there is no elite accountability for people who do the most heinous things?
06:25You have in England the king now calling for an investigation and possible prosecution of his own brother.
06:34You have in Norway the princess who no longer has support to be the queen.
06:40And yet in the United States of America, we have someone in the cabinet, Howard Lutnick, who is all over
06:47these Epstein files, who allegedly had business with Epstein after he was convicted of pedophilia, and he still is in
06:55the cabinet.
06:55We need to ask ourselves, are we in America going to have elite accountability?
07:02Are we going to call on rich and powerful people who broke the law or are cavorted with a pedophile,
07:09a convicted pedophile?
07:10Are we going to call them to account?
07:12Are we going to have prosecutions for billionaires who went to this island and either raped underage girls or saw
07:20underage girls being raped and didn't say anything?
07:24Are we going to have investigations?
07:27I'll tell you what this is about.
07:29It's not just about the 1,200 survivors.
07:33It's about two tiers of justice in America.
07:38It's about people who can accumulate wealth and power and don't have to care about the rest of America.
07:46They have destroyed so much of this country.
07:49Income inequality is at a 60-year high.
07:52Workers' salaries are less than they have been for 75 years as a part of GDP.
08:01Somehow this country seems to be working for the rich and powerful, but it's not working for ordinary working class
08:07Americans.
08:08I say enough.
08:10It's time to begin with accountability for the Epstein class.
08:15Hold them in front of Congress, those people who visited the island or did business with Epstein after he was
08:21a convicted pedophile.
08:23Investigate them.
08:25Prosecute them.
08:26And let's return to democratic accountability in the United States of America.
08:31Let's return to one system of justice in the United States of America.
08:36Let's return to a place where every American has a stake in this country.
