00:00What lessons do you think are the most important
00:03that David Stern should have took away
00:04from things that didn't work with this roster this year?
00:07Contrary to the fact that David is probably
00:09the richest president in baseball currently
00:11or most certainly up there in the top three category,
00:14he needs to put his ego aside.
00:16And he needs to understand that when things aren't working,
00:18you need to adapt.
00:19And he has still struggled mightily to adapt
00:22in a way that's conducive for this market.
00:24I mean, David's lack of feel is the most concerning thing
00:26about him as president of this organization.
00:28You would think that for a diehard Mets fan growing up
00:31from New York that always dreamed to have the position
00:34that he's in now, that he would have had a better handle.
00:36The misses has been there in off seasons as well.
00:39So having more, not even proactivity,
00:42having more gall to go all in on players
00:45that are worthy to do so.
00:46For players that clearly are a fit here,
00:49that should be here, there's been a lack of aggressiveness
00:52by David Sterns to make sure that they stay here.
00:55The lack of foresight and understanding
00:57what the Mets have to sell to a player
01:00versus what the Dodgers, the Blue Jays,
01:02or other top contending teams of baseball,
01:04and in many cases, is a night and day.
01:06You need to up the ante.
01:08And upping the ante is doing exactly
01:09what Steve Cohen is here for.
01:10It's spending the big dollars.
01:12It's separating yourself from the rest of the pack.
01:14And David has chosen not to do that.
