00:00Iranian President Masud Pazeshkin says Tehran is ready to reciprocate immediately if Washington honors to its commitments under an interim
00:09deal signed in June.
00:10The agreement gave the US and Iran 60 days to negotiate a final deal to end the war.
00:16But that deadline passed in August without a breakthrough.
00:22Under the deal, both sides agreed to an immediate ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz,
00:27an end to the US naval blockade and the lifting of new sanctions.
00:31However, the framework soon unraveled as both sides accused each other of failing to honor its terms.
00:38Pazeshkin said that war was in no one's interest, adding that Tehran remains open to a negotiated solution with Washington.
00:45Iran has also linked freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz to Washington's implementation of the agreement.
00:52His remarks come as the two sides have resumed Iraq attacks after more than a month of relative calm.
00:57The US struck Larak Island on Monday, prompting Iran to attack two US air bases in Jordan.
