00:00The United States and Iran are preparing to formally sign their interim peace deal in Switzerland on Friday, with both
00:09sides claiming progress.
00:11The text of the 14-page Memorandum of Understanding has not yet been published, but it's expected to set out
00:17a two-month extension of the ceasefire and the start of negotiations over Iran's nuclear program.
00:24The one thing that's happening that's of note, frankly, the only thing that really matters to me, is Iran will
00:31never have a nuclear weapon.
00:34And it says it loud and clear. They're not going to develop it, they're not going to buy it, they're
00:40not going to do anything with it.
00:41And if they do, they suffer unbelievable consequences.
00:45Donald Trump also called the agreement a done deal, saying Washington was dealing with, in his words, rational people in
00:52Tehran.
00:53But he added that the U.S. would not invest money in Iran or pay reparations for the war.
00:59U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to lead the American delegation, while Iran is likely to be
01:05represented by Parliament Speaker Mohamed Bagheer-Galibaf.
01:08Oil prices have fallen to a three-month low as markets weigh the prospect of supply resuming through the Strait
01:15of Hormuz.
01:16Trump said the U.S. will lift its naval blockade on Iranian ports and that the strait will reopen after
01:21the agreement is signed.
