00:06world by making funny videos but he doesn't say a single word, just with his

00:11facial expressions, that awkward way of his and showing everyday life. That simple

00:17life of his is what made the whole world love this character. In fact I showed it

00:23to my son Daniel who's eight years old, he burst out laughing brothers, he was

00:28laughing like this, look, until he was out of breath, because it's really funny

00:32right to see his reactions, but I got to know another side of him. I found out

00:37that since 1980 Mr. Bean has played Satan himself, he plays the devil who rules over

00:46hell and he's managing the people who arrive. In fact it's a satire, it's a

07:08As I said, brothers, people start to laugh at certain serious things, right?

07:12Things considered serious simply because they want to escape from fear.

07:17Human beings are specialists at this, because ever since Adam and Eve sinned, what did they do?

07:22They hid from God.

07:24In the same way, today people run away from the truth.

07:28And the truth is, that when we look at a beautiful place like this, we see that Mr. Bean is

07:33very well dressed, right?

07:35He looks good.

07:36At that moment, people start to believe that it really could be just something people imagined.

07:43They don't need to repent of their sins and let alone need Jesus as their savior.

07:49But what's most interesting is, that this video here, exposes some lies of the devil, that I want to bring

07:54to you.

07:56And the first big lie, is thinking that the devil rules in hell, or that he's reigning there with a

08:01trident in his hand.

08:03Brothers, there are a lot of people who believe this, that the devil is going to rule hell.

08:08But in reality, he doesn't rule anything.

08:10In fact, the Bible says that the devil isn't even locked up in hell yet.

08:15There is a group of fallen angels who are imprisoned in that place, right?

08:18But according to the word of God as well, the devil is actually roaming around the earth,

08:24trying to deceive as many people as possible, blinding their understanding,

08:29so that they do not believe in the message of the gospel.

08:33So, if we could have an open vision right now, we would see angels and demons.

08:37And we need to know here then, brothers, first of all, that hell is not the devil's home.

08:43The devil is not going to throw a party there.

08:46There won't be partying, prostitution, drinking, like people usually portray in plays, right?

08:51In those movies, in the commercials.

08:54Actually, brothers, the devil will be thrown into the lake of fire to be punished.

08:59In other words, Satan does not rule in hell, he doesn't send anyone there, he doesn't have that power.

09:06Actually, it was Jesus himself who said that we should not fear those who kill the body,

09:10but cannot kill the soul.

09:14We should actually fear God, because God is the one who can send a person to hell.

09:18But it's also important for you to know that hell was prepared for Satan and his angels.

09:23That's what Jesus taught in Matthew 25 and in the book of Revelation 20.

09:32The Bible makes it very clear that one day, he will be thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur,

09:37to be tormented forever and ever.

09:40And besides that, we know that everyone who rejects Jesus, who rejects God's offer of salvation,

09:46for the forgiveness of our sins, those people will also be condemned.

09:51Jesus made it very clear that in hell, the fire never goes out and the worm never dies.

09:57And when we look at this comedy by Mr. Bean, we notice there that the devil, he starts dividing people

10:03into several groups, right?

10:05Separating each one by their sins.

10:08And the Bible doesn't go into detail about this, it doesn't say that he will separate by categories,

10:13because after all, sin is sin, right?

10:16But at the final judgment, one thing will happen.

10:20Each person will answer personally for everything they did here on earth.

10:24No one will be judged in a group, you understand?

10:28Each person, God already knows personally.

10:31God knows each one by name.

10:33And the Bible states that before the Lord's throne, each person will have their life revealed there,

10:38like in a book, showing everything the person did in secret.

10:42Look at what is written in Revelation 20, verse 12.

10:46He saw the dead, both great and small, standing before the throne of God.

10:53And the books were opened, including the book of life,

10:56and the dead were judged according to what they had done, recorded in the books.

11:02Look at this, brothers.

11:04It's important for you to know that in the first century,

11:07when the Apostle John wrote these words there on the island of Patmos,

11:10the courts of that time recorded everything in very detailed record books,

11:15where each person's wrongs and sentence were recorded.

11:19And when John talks about these opened books,

11:22he shows that God has the perfect record of every action, of every thought people have.

11:27And Jesus himself taught this in Matthew chapter 11, where he said that,

11:33the judgment will also take into account the opportunities that the person had to give their

11:39life to Jesus, and they didn't want to.

11:41In this chapter, Jesus called out the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaum,

11:47warning that on the day of final judgment, the punishment of Sodom and Gomorrah,

11:51Tyre and Sidon, would be less than that of these cities.

11:55And why did Jesus say this, brothers?

11:58Because the more a person hears God's truth, and the more they reject it,

12:02the greater their responsibility before the Lord.

12:07Remember Caiaphas, that religious leader who led the movement for people to crucify Jesus?

12:13That's right, Jesus turned to him and said,

12:16you will receive the greatest punishment, you will be judged much more strictly.

12:20Why is that, brothers?

12:21Because he already knew the truth, he knew that Jesus was the Son of God,

12:26and even so, he rejected him.

12:28He didn't want to repent, unfortunately.

12:31But I also need to tell you something.

12:33If you have already repented of your sins, if you have believed in Jesus as your Lord and Savior,

12:39then now you will no longer be judged as to whether you will be saved.

12:42In other words, you will no longer stand before God when you die,

12:46to find out if you will be saved or not.

12:49Because Jesus has already guaranteed this for us, that if we believe in him as the only Savior,

12:56we already have eternal life, we have already passed from death to life,

13:00and will not come into judgment.

13:02It was Jesus himself who said this.

13:05He even said, if you believe and are baptized, you will be saved.

13:09But if you do not believe and are not baptized, you are already condemned.

13:15So brothers, this is very serious, but I need to tell you the truth here,

13:19because the truth is what sets you free.

13:22Jesus said, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

13:26Amen?

13:27And there's a detail here in the Mr. Bing video, where the devil starts to mock the atheists.

13:32I don't know if you noticed that, but it's interesting,

13:35because an atheist really is a person who denies God.

13:38Many times he is proud to say that he doesn't exist.

13:41But brothers, the Bible says that someone who does this is actually a foolish person.

13:47Because there in Romans 1, it is written that the power and greatness of God

13:53can be clearly seen in nature and in everything that was created by God.

13:58And because of this, no one has any excuse before the Lord, the Creator.

14:03So, when the atheist closes his eyes in death, when the atheist closes his eyes to this life,

14:09and comes face to face with the Creator, he will have no excuses.

14:12It won't help at all.

14:14And here, watching this Mr. Bing video, he also talks about the Mormons that they tried really hard.

14:20Actually, I believe that here it's a criticism.

14:23The Mormons were there at the founding of the United States.

14:26I'm not sure what the focus was exactly, but I want to talk about something here as well.

14:31There are many people who believe they will enter heaven by doing good deeds,

14:36by following religious rules.

14:37Brothers, that's not what saves.

14:39It doesn't matter if someone spends many hours inside the church,

14:43if they make promises to God,

14:45or if they think they'll be saved just because they follow a list of things.

14:50Brothers, salvation is not a bargaining chip.

14:52There are people who think that God judges our lives as if it were on a scale,

14:57thinking that the good things will cancel out the bad things.

15:00But brothers, the Bible makes it very clear that salvation does not depend on us,

15:05on what we do or don't do.

15:07It is a gift from God, a present from the Lord.

15:09Look at what the Bible says in Ephesians, chapter 2, verses 8 and 9.

15:16It says,

15:18You are saved by grace, through faith.

15:21This does not come from yourselves, it is a gift from God.

15:24It is not a reward for the good things we have done.

15:27Therefore, no one can boast about it.

15:29Amen?

15:31Brothers, this should bring us peace, because we don't need to earn salvation.

15:36It has already been won for us on the cross.

15:39In fact, Jesus said, it is finished.

15:42In other words, everything that needed to be done, God Himself took the initiative.

15:48He sent His own Son to this earth.

15:50Jesus, He voluntarily decided to go to the cross.

15:54No one killed Jesus, but He Himself gave His life for us.

15:58Hallelujah!

15:59In fact, the prophet Isaiah wrote something very interesting in chapter 64.

16:05Where he said that our best actions, our most righteous, most holy deeds,

16:11are compared to filthy rags.

16:14Do you know what he was trying to say, brothers?

16:16In the past, when a woman was menstruating,

16:19that cloth would get very dirty, smell bad, stained,

16:23and that's also what our human effort is like,

16:26when it tries to erase the sin that is in our lives.

16:29We can't do it, brothers, because God is 100% holy.

16:35So the greatest truth you need to believe in this video is that we are saved only because

16:40Jesus paid our debt there on the cross of Calvary.

16:43The righteous died for the sinner.

16:46You are the one who deserved eternal condemnation.

16:50And that's why Jesus went all the way out of love for you, out of love for me.

16:54So, brothers, salvation is not a prize for those who thought they were better than others,

16:59for those who did a lot of good things here on earth.

17:02That's not it.

17:03Salvation is a gift of the Lord's grace for our lives.

17:07And it's interesting that there's a moment here,

17:09when Mr. Bean said that in hell there is no bathroom,

17:12and that the suffering never ends.

17:15I know that was a joke, but it makes perfect sense,

17:18because when we look at the Bible, we see in Luke 16,

17:22a parable where Jesus talked about a rich man and a poor man named Lazarus.

17:28And this rich man ended up going to hell, because he was extremely selfish,

17:33and certainly because he didn't repent of his sins, he didn't believe in God.

17:37And then, when he was there in hell, in total suffering,

17:41he wanted just a little bit of water to be put on the tip of a finger,

17:46so he could wet his tongue.

17:47But unfortunately, he was told that this was not possible,

17:51because there was a chasm that separated heaven from hell.

17:55In other words, brothers, after death there is no purgatory,

17:59there is no second chance, there is no way to change sides.

18:03And this video that I'm recording here, is to show you the truth,

18:06because a lot of people didn't know about this.

18:09In fact, I know that many of you must be thinking,

18:13Pastor, but how can a loving God allow hell to exist?

18:16How can he send people to hell?

18:19Brothers, the answer is that God is love, yes, but he is also perfectly just.

18:25Think about this with me, a judge here on earth, who lets criminals go,

18:30who releases corrupt people, if he doesn't apply the law, he is a corrupt judge, right?

18:35And in the same way, God can pretend that evil and sin don't exist.

18:40But brothers, the great wonder of the Gospel is that God has already provided a way out.

18:46On the cross, Jesus took upon himself the punishment that we deserved.

18:51And now we don't need to pay penance, we don't need to make promises,

18:55we just need to believe in him to be saved.

18:57Amen?

18:59I know that I'm also speaking here to people who may already know the Gospel,

19:03who already knew everything I said here, but today are far from the ways of the Lord.

19:09And God is calling you back, it's not by chance that you came here.

19:13Let me just read a verse that's in Revelation, chapter 2, verses 4 and 5.

19:19Look at what the Bible says.

19:32Hallelujah!

19:34Brothers, this message here was for the church of Ephesus, back in the Old Testament.

19:38And it's interesting that this, these people, they had biblical knowledge, they knew the truth,

19:43they already knew a lot of things that others didn't know, but they had a problem.

19:49They abandoned their first love, which is obviously God.

19:53They stopped following God, but they also stopped loving their neighbor.

19:59Brothers, it's no use.

20:00It's no use for us to be in church and keep criticizing others, talking nonsense, gossiping.

20:06We can't waste our time, brothers, on trivial things, on things that will pass.

20:11We need to keep our eyes on Jesus.
