00:29the yankees want to show that they aren't going to get swept last time this was the t-shirt gun
00:34for the entire red sox run june 25th sweeping the yankees after everyone had given up on their
00:40season that they took the yankees to the woodshed and i think so the yankees i obviously want to
00:45show that they have a better version of themselves and and i it's not going to be the end of

00:50if you split this series but you can make a significant declaration for something that's
00:57really really important i think i do think having a home field for that wild card series is important
01:04and would be a huge huge feather in the cap for the red side i don't think there's any question

01:08it and because of the way that the fenway crowd has been about how they've enacted their will
01:13on on these games and and how it's translated into a really really good home record after having the
01:19worst home record so yeah i think it's i think it is important so and i also think the red

03:25that's the biggest difference here with both those guys you have to play you have to produce in order

04:07well i think your senses are keen ted because i think absolutely that has been on their radar
04:13they've been bobbing and weaving their way all over the place in terms of this lead off spot and
04:20they've done okay but they understand that the best guy who is equipped for that spot is the guy who
04:25started for them on opening day and that's roman anthony so if he's not in the lead off spot his

04:31game back i don't think it's going to be that far after that that's they believe that that is a

05:46tougher one i mean there might be a scenario where since monasterio has come back down to earth maybe
05:51he's in the mix in terms of being sent down whatever it is but it's it's it's i think that
05:57the siegler one is probably an obvious one so guard maybe but it's still we've we've we've litigated

07:06they got two hitting coaches but it's just interesting that they're putting them out there for the media

07:15on there in a long long time i talked to other people who haven't seen a hitting coach on there

07:29you're doing it i don't know but i do know this it's like anything in baseball the truth lies
07:35somewhere in the middle like what these guys with the whole driveline thing yeah and sataropoulos is
07:40a driveline guy by the way so the whole driveline thing we can't just say hey you know what we

07:46them every we fixed everybody much like you know it's like when your guy lorenzo came on they did a
07:52lot of good things for durbin but it's not like you know it's not like he did everything to fix

07:57guy everybody had a hand in this including by the way pete fatsey and these other guys who were
08:04before him so it's interesting to hear for anytime you hear the process of it but the problem is when
08:11you have an appearance like that it's kind of like okay you know this is this is the guy this

08:17staff that is making all this happen and i think it's more complicated than that it's the return of
08:22driveline rich they're putting him back out there the driveline too well remember remember the narratives
08:28about when body was uh is it body body yeah cow body when he left like oh see you leave

08:36and like and everything goes good well as we now know like you know it's still three quarters of that
08:43staff is still driveline guy so again truth lies somewhere in the middle all right real quick rob there
08:48is a story that i think is being underreported right now and that is that the uh the red sox

08:53signed a new catcher now he's a minor leaguer from i think it's detroit tomas nito um but that's on

09:02heels of adley rutschman not playing a lot because of injury are you worried about adley's health
09:09uh it's two different things i don't think they signed nito because adley rutschman i think they
09:15just needed depth but um i do think i am worried a little bit because it's anytime you have someone
09:23who's banged up uh that and is continues to be banged up this was the problem hey you know
09:29they're saying it's his elbow it's not his wrist well okay it's still an arm it's still a physical
09:35ailment and so that's a concern i mean i i so yeah i mean i think that when adley rutschman

09:42red sox this was the biggest thing i said it before you go over 17 with nine strikeouts adley rutschman's
09:49life he's probably never done that before my guess is that because he wasn't ready physically
09:53i don't know maybe he is ready physically maybe i'm making too much of it but it is something to
09:58keep an eye on and it's interesting that they they actually a guy that they had targeted at the trade
10:05deadline which ended up going to dodgers and i'm forgetting his name right now but he was a he was
10:10a catcher who ended up going from tampa to the dodgers that was there was i said to somebody
10:15organization okay who are you trying to get and they cite they cited this guy who ends up going
10:21to dodgers as a catcher so they know that they needed bigger more catching depth and i think
10:26that's when they go out and get a guy like nito you know brad foe i wonder when it comes
