00:00Police in Spain's North African enclave of Suerta clashed with anti-migrant protesters on Thursday,
00:07one month after thousands of migrants entered the territory from Morocco.
00:13Demonstrators moved into an area at a beach where migrants have been sleeping,
00:18setting their belongings on fire. Residents of Suerta have been holding regular protests
00:25over what they say are security and hygiene problems linked to the influx.
00:31Tensions have risen since a military vehicle was attacked early on Thursday by migrants throwing
00:36stones and other objects. More than 70,000 migrants entered Suerta from Morocco in late July,
00:45swimming or crossing the border on foot. Most have since left, but at least 3,000 remain in the tiny
00:53territory. Dozens of protesters staged a sit-in to block Red Cross vehicles from reaching the beach
01:01to distribute food. They waved Spanish flags and chanted they should leave and out with the Red
01:08Cross before being dispersed by police. The Spanish government says it's sending additional personnel
01:15to speed up efforts to determine who can be returned to Morocco.
