00:23Local officials say the reception centres are now full, with more than 1,500 migrants arriving by sea in recent
00:31days and more than 200 people entering on some days.
00:35Suta's President Juan Jesús Vivas described the situation as a total humanitarian and social emergency.
00:43Spain's Interior Ministry said several government departments are now working to respond, while Interior Minister is due to visit the
00:51territory on Friday.
00:54The crisis has revived memories of May 2021, when more than 8,000 migrants crossed into Suta in just two

01:03Those attempting the crossing are mainly Moroccans, along with a small number of Algerians who had been living in Morocco
01:10while trying to migrate to Europe, according to activists in Morocco and Suta.
