00:00Tensions are rising at Spain's North African enclave of Ceuta, where protesters gathered

00:06Sunday as Morocco tightened security along the border.

00:10The demonstration came after fresh calls on social media for mass crossings into Ceuta,

00:15raising fears of another surge.

00:18Protesters waved signs reading Long Live Spain and Asylum, while the border remained closed.

00:24Spain's Defence Minister Margarita Nobles warned against any new attempt at a mass entry

00:29into the territory.

00:30The warning follows a deadly border rush in late July, when at least 80 people were officially

00:36reported killed, who and rights groups say the real toll could be higher.

00:40The sudden arrival of around 72,000 migrants triggered a humanitarian crisis and reignited

00:46Spain's immigration debate.

00:48Most of the migrants later returned, but with renewed calls for crossings and tighter security

00:54now in place, pressure is once again building along the Ceuta border.
