00:01Actually, I have some concerns relating to BJMP.
00:08In particular, may mga detainees may be eligible for release.
00:20But because of the problems in your records, their release has been delayed.
00:34Sorry if I may answer that.
00:36It is our position that the BJMP should be transferred under the Department of Justice under the Bureau of Corrections.
00:51I think it would be prudent for the Congress to help us into combining Bucor and BJMP into one facility.
01:01Since they perform the same jobs, basically, they're just mirroring each other.
01:06So, we are asking Congress's help and the President's help in combining the two agencies so there will be a
01:13more efficient use of the resources.
01:16And also a fair treatment to the persons deprived of liberties if they have to be released or not.
01:22And can I just add, Secretary?
01:25Isama na rin po yung provincial jails siguro.
01:28Yes, and the provincial jails too, sir.
01:30Sir, as of now, we have a municipal jail, provincial jail, BJMP, and Bucor.
01:35All four of them operate independently of each other.
01:39So, what we have to do, sir, is have a common record, a common computerized system data management
01:45so that all the PDLs will be treated accordingly according to their sentence.
01:52Okay.
01:54Noted po yung concern na ni Ray, no?
01:58Tama kayo, hindi lang naman sa BJMP kung hindi sa Bucor din issue yung karpeta.
02:04That's right.
02:04At minsan yung mga ibang nakakausap natin, walang available na kamag-anak para rumabaho dun sa hanap ng mga records.
02:15That's right.
02:16Pwede na dapat silang marilis.
02:18Kaya sabi na po, sir, isa na lang yan eh, isa na lang database para sa lahat ng mga jails
02:23na yan.
02:24Noted po, and as I said, I have some specific concerns.
02:28Kung maaari po ay ikakausapin namin ang, okay lang po ba, kakausapin natin ang BJMP po with regard to...
02:37Now, sir, we can do that.
02:40Oh, kahit ano lang po. I will not take up the committee's time.
02:44Okay.
02:45Thank you very much, sir.
02:46Thank you, sir.
