Somehow Elijah new already but Took Risk | TVD Edits

This memorable sequence captures a high-tension psychological and physical chess match between the Salvatore brothers, their friends, and the Original vampire Elijah.

Damon Salvatore hosts a seemingly civilized dinner party at the Salvatore boarding house. He invites Elijah under false pretenses, using Andie Star, Jenna Sommers, and Alaric Saltzman to keep up appearances while he secretly plans to assassinate the Original using a special dagger and white oak ash provided by John Gilbert.

The Psychological Warfare: Beneath the veneer of polite conversation and clinking glasses, a lethal game of bluff is underway. Elijah makes it clear that he is aware of the potential risks and subtly warns Damon against any hostile moves, asserting his dominance over the room.

The Twist Execution: Damon originally intends to strike himself, but learns a crucial detail just in time: because the dagger must be wielded by a human to permanently neutralize an Original without killing the wielder, Alaric steps in. While the rest of the group is distracted waiting for dessert, Alaric sneaks up behind Elijah and drives the dagger into his back, dropping the ancient vampire in a shocking moment of action.
