00:00The 49ers spent all offseason trying to fix their defense, but it turns out their bigger problem was in the
00:07front office.
00:08The Post reported that Niner's CEO and principal owner, Jed York, was arrested Sunday in East Palestine, Ohio,
00:16which is a small town on the Pennsylvania border.
00:19He was picked up at the Wheat Hill mobile home community around 9.30 in the morning
00:25as part of a sting run with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.
00:30Per court records, York allegedly responded to an ad on a known prostitution website
00:37and arranged to meet a woman for sex in exchange for $140.
00:42He was initially charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools,
00:48the tool being the cell phone that he allegedly used to set up the meeting.
00:52Now, on Monday, the prostitution charge was amended down to disorderly conduct as part of a plea deal.
00:59York pleaded no contest to both misdemeanors.
01:02He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for one day served,
01:06and he was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.
01:11Court records do show that those fines have already been paid.
01:14The 49ers have already released a brief statement calling it a resolved legal matter
01:20and said that they won't comment any further.
01:22And the NFL confirmed it's aware and will review the situation under the personal conduct policy.
01:29Now, it's worth noting for context, Forbes pegs the York family fortune around $8.5 billion.
01:37Now, the real question that's floating around league circles is,
01:41should the NFL force York to sell the team?
