00:00Willkommen zurück, Flameborn!
00:01Today we're going to be talking about some of the changes you can expect to see in Enshrouded
00:06when the game releases out of Early Access on the 15th of October.
00:09These are all based on feedback from you, the players.
00:12So as usual, thank you for sharing your feedback with us.
00:17Let's start with the dragon in the room, the Fell Dragon Youngling.
00:21It has long been the last boss in the game,
00:23and for many it has been less of a formidable foe and more of an impassable obstacle.
00:27We're taking a few steps to remedy that.
00:30First, we're fixing the bugs that meant that the boss would sometimes reset to full life.
00:35But we're also fixing the bugs that sometimes got the boss stuck and unresponsive.
00:41The next steps we're taking are increasing the depth of the arena
00:44so that players will less often accidentally fall off or be pushed off by the dragon's gust of wind.
00:49We are also adding an additional phase where the dragon will land on the ground
00:53and melee players will be able to attack it without needing it to be stunned.
00:58Speaking of stunning, did you know that melee builds can reflect the rock projectiles to stun the dragon?
01:03The game does tell you, but anecdotal evidence from talking to many of you
01:07shows that a number of our players aren't trying to parry the projectiles.
01:11We are also reducing the amount of stunning attacks required before the dragon gets stunned,
01:15increasing the damage taken normally,
01:17as well as making the weak spot on its back effective for all weapon types.
01:22We're also making it stay stunned for a little longer,
01:25but to even it out, it will take a little less damage than before while stunned.
01:30Its hitbox will be refined to make it easier to hit,
01:33and last but not least, we're significantly reducing its overall health.
01:37Our goal with these changes is to make the fight against the fell dragon youngling a challenge
01:41without turning it into a chore.
01:43Another addition we're making is that dying will no longer immediately reset
01:47the health of the enemies you are fighting.
01:49Instead, they will slowly regain their health,
01:52so that a death in a tough fight doesn't always mean a complete do-over,
01:55and you get a chance to whittle away at your enemies.
01:58We're currently testing this feature internally to find a sweet spot,
02:02but as always, we'll be listening to your feedback.
02:04A lot of you were very vocal about not liking the changes brought to updraft by Update 8,
02:10which added a charge-up time to updraft and changed the strength of the movement accordingly.
02:15You were very, very vocal.
02:17As you're well aware, we're making the game for you.
02:20So we're now letting you choose which version of updraft you want
02:23with this nifty new setting in the game tab.
02:26So, you've got the old instant updraft,
02:28then the new slower one if you think gliders are OP.
02:31Pick the option that works best for you.
02:34Many of you over the years have affectionately called your Flameborn Hobbits,
02:38due to their slightly exaggerated head, hand, and feet sizes.
02:42But for 1.0, we're once again giving people what they want
02:45by adding new player proportions to look more like you're here to save the realm
02:48and less like you're looking for second breakfast.
02:51If you already have an existing character, head over to Elio Ricci,
02:55who can use his scissors to give your Flameborn a little trim.
02:58Looking a little fresher, no?
03:01One thing that we've heard a lot from players building extensive bases
03:04and populating them is that their inhabitants tend to get stuck in awkward places.
03:09We've all had to rescue a pet who ventured where it shouldn't,
03:12but when it happens in a game, it can get frustrating.
03:15And when it happens to a grown man, it's even worse.
03:18Come on, Oswald, how did you get there?
03:21Me?
03:23Just hanging around.
03:25There's no quick fix for this,
03:27as there are many reasons why our NPCs and pets can end up stuck in the wrong places.
03:31However, all of the reasons we're currently aware of are fixed,
03:35which should cover most of the current cases players are seeing.
03:38If in the future we see this behavior happen again, we'll fix it too.
03:43Fishing has been reworked on a deep level to be less frustrating.
03:47Bait now attracts fish predominantly from the biome from which bait resources were taken.
03:52Improved fishing bait guarantees that biting fish will correspond to the tier of the bait.
03:57Location has no influence on the chance of catching fish.
04:01Specific fishing spots increase the chance for treasure and trash, just like some rods do.
04:06Other specific fishing spots increase the chance for fish to bite.
04:10Keen fishers will be able to tell these spots apart by paying close attention.
04:15These are only some of the changes we're bringing to Entrouded for 1.0,
04:18and you will hear more from us over the coming weeks.
04:21We hope you're excited for this game's release out of Early Access
04:24and onto PlayStation 5 on October 15th.
04:27And in the meantime, let us know in the comments which of these changes you're most excited for.
04:38of course
04:41Vielen Dank.
