00:09some random Umbrella employee who forgot to lock the office. We're talking about a secret facility
00:13in Africa that was so heavily protected, only a handful of people inside Umbrella even knew it
00:18existed. Spencer explains that only people with the highest security clearance knew about it.
00:22Level 10. Basically the Resident Evil version of, congratulations, you're trusted with our
00:27biggest secret, except there's a tiny problem. Spencer says once the facility is closed,
00:31he'll have to deal with the people who know it exists. And the list attached to the notebook,
00:35it's brutal. One is dead, another is imprisoned, someone else's whereabouts are unknown. And one
00:40entry simply says, found, information obtained, eliminated. Bro wasn't doing HR anymore, he was
00:45doing delete history. But then Spencer drops something even crazier. He mentions the director
00:50of the facility, Brandon Bailey. And apparently Bailey had been confined to that African facility
00:54for almost 30 years. 30 years. Imagine getting hired by Umbrella and your boss says,
01:00good news, you're going to Africa. Cool, how long? Almost three decades. At that point,
01:05you're not an employee anymore, you're part of the furniture. But why was Spencer protecting this
01:09place so badly? Because this wasn't some normal Umbrella laboratory. This was where they produced
01:13the progenitor virus. And Spencer makes his real priorities painfully clear. Umbrella? He literally
01:18calls it nothing but a tool for progenitor research. The company could disappear. But if the research
01:23survived, Spencer could rebuild. And that's why he wanted the facility's connections erased. He even
01:28writes, when one buries a treasure, one should not leave behind a map. Spencer was apparently running
01:33a pharmaceutical company, while secretly talking like a pirate with a bioweapons budget. And here's
01:37where this gets really interesting. Because Umbrella eventually does collapse, the company is gone. But
01:42Spencer's research? Not gone. That abandoned African facility is later restored by Tricell's
01:47Africa branch. And what do they use it for? The Uroboros project. The same progenitor research
01:52Spencer spent decades protecting becomes part of Wesker's plan. So Spencer was right about one
01:57terrifying thing. Umbrella didn't have to survive. The research did. The company could disappear.
02:02Its executives could die. Its name could become history. And somebody else could still walk into
02:06that facility and continue the work. Because Spencer wasn't really building something that needed
02:10Umbrella. He was building something that could outlive it. And when Umbrella finally disappeared,
02:14someone else picked up the leash.
