GTA6 Gameplay Leak Deep-Dive and Analysis.
Over the past week, GTA 6 and Rockstar Games has arguably faced the biggest leak in gaming history as 10 GTA6 Gameplay Leaks have surfaced online, as well the GTA6 Map. New mechanics, features vehicles, and locations and today I plan to detail everything that we learned from the clips we’ve seen so far. This video won’t feature any story spoilers and is a compilation of my first 2 breakdowns as well as the remaining 6 clips and will have timestamps for each clip if you are already familiar with certain things and would like to skip ahead. So without further ado, this is everything we’ve from GTA VI "Cyberleeks" so far.

00:00Over the past week, GTA 6 has arguably faced the biggest leak in gaming history. As of making this
00:06video, 10 clips have surfaced online equating to roughly 22 minutes of gameplay, and never-before-seen
00:13details have been learned that we didn't even know from the 2022 leaks. New mechanics, features,
00:19vehicles, and locations, so today, I plan to detail everything that we have learned from these clips
00:26so far. This video won't feature any story spoilers, and is a compilation of my first two
00:32breakdowns, as well as the remaining six clips that we've gotten over the week, and will have
00:36timestamps for each clip if you are already familiar with certain things and would like to skip ahead.
00:42So, without any further ado, this is everything that we have learned from the GTA 6 cyber leaks
00:48so far. At around noon on August 18th, clips of GTA 6 began popping up on Twitter,
00:55Reddit, and Imgur that were supposedly leaked by a group known as CyberLeak. This group of hackers
01:02have come forth to state that they have done this leak due to the decision Rockstar made to not
01:06include a physical disc, as well as the bonus added to the Ultimate Edition instead of including all of
01:12it in the base game. With this leak has come two short clips so far, as well as the entirety
01:19of the
01:20GTA 6 map. Now you might be thinking that this might be fake given the amount of fake leaks that
01:25we have been subjected to in the past, but one of the biggest indicators proving that these are in fact
01:32real is that one, these clips seemed way too good for even a dedicated developer with a ton of time
01:40on
01:40their hands. And two, these clips have been aggressively taken down by Rockstar and take two
01:47both on YouTube and Twitter, which means that for obvious reasons, I will not be showing the leaks
01:54in this video. The first thing I want to quickly point out for the people that have seen the leaks
01:59is that it seems that they were recorded sometime after late 2023. When people took a look at the metadata
02:06of these clips, it showed that the FF MPEG build the clips were recorded with came out sometime in late
02:132023. However, when the actual footage of the game was recorded is completely unknown. But when it comes
02:21to what we've seen in the clips, there is quite a lot that we saw. One of the clips features
02:26a 69 second
02:28clip that takes place in Jason's backyard where he is playing basketball. When the clip starts, we can
02:34immediately see behind Jason's house from an angle that we haven't seen yet. The clip starts with Jason
02:40standing on his deck, which is approximately here judging from the mapping project, and the camera
02:45is facing west towards these islands. In the top right, we can see two different money icons. One
02:52features an icon with a wallet, which implies this is the money we currently have on us, and the other
02:58has an icon of a house. So from the looks of it, we will have a safe at home that
03:03we can use to store
03:04our excess cash so that we can't lose it all when we are either busted or killed. On Jason's deck,
03:11we also see yet another bench press, which pretty much confirms that there will be a weight system
03:16within the game. This also makes it seem like the weightlifting that we saw from him in trailer 2
03:21was most likely gameplay. We also got a slight look at the walking and mantling movement of Jason,
03:28and a lot of people I've been seeing have been comparing it to RDR 2, and I think that is
03:33probably
03:34the best way to describe it at this point. But with that said, I don't think that it is a
03:39direct
03:39remake. Jason's car also features a little J on the icon. The main part of the clip, however,
03:46is the showcase of the basketball minigame. The basketball can be picked up from the ground like
03:51any item similar to what we know from RDR 2, and the control scheme for playing basketball was also
03:57shown, with a circle or reticle in the middle, and a smaller circular colored area within this circle.
04:04And as you hold the button to take a shot, the circle will fall in towards the center, and you
04:09need
04:09to let go within the colored area for the best chance of making the shot. Undoubtedly, these are pretty
04:15basic controls. But again, this is a GTA game and not a basketball game, so I don't think it's worth
04:21getting upset about like I have seen from some people on Twitter. The second clip from this leak,
04:27however, is much more important in my eyes because it gave us our first look at the driving gameplay
04:33within GTA 6. Right off the bat, the driving looks very different from GTA 5. This is kind of on
04:40par
04:41with what a lot of us thought we would be seeing from GTA 6, but it seems like they have
04:46mixed the
04:46driving of both GTA 5 and GTA 4. But the car in the clip does seem to have much more
04:53movement in the
04:54suspension like you would normally see in GTA 4. More boat-like, if you will. Not to the same degree
05:01as
05:01GTA 4, obviously, but at least visually, it does match it much more than GTA 5. Jason's car is also
05:09hit by a much larger vehicle, in fact, a post-op van. So that is also making a return. But
05:16when it is
05:16hit, you can see a much more noticeable amount of body damage that occurs on the car when it is
05:23hit.
05:24We also saw a sneak peek at the combat system within the game, showing Jason throwing a jump kick when
05:30getting attacked by the NPC who ran into him, and then it seems to show combat that looks very similar
05:37to RDR 2. One cool fact is that the NPC was also carrying a wrench when he attacked Jason, and
05:43a
05:43new animation was seen of Jason punching him and then taking the wrench out of his hand before hitting
05:49him with Finisher. The sound effects of the combat also sound much fleshier, if that's a word, like you
05:56are actually hitting someone rather than what we are used to now with GTA 5. But from this interaction,
06:02Jason actually gets a wanted level, and with it, we see three new icons that appear when a cop comes
06:10into Jason's vision. A clothes hanger, a car, and a blank face. This basically confirms that there is a
06:17much more advanced wanted system than what we previously know. The cop in this clip has a description
06:23of your clothes, your car, and your face, and it could be that you need to find a way to
06:28change
06:29all three before you become clear from the police. This is simply speculation, but it seems like the
06:36most likely explanation for what those three icons could mean, since they only pop up when the cop
06:42actually spots Jason. Now another really interesting part that was seen in this clip was when entering his
06:50car to evade the police, two icons can be seen next to the car's name that he entered, an engine
06:56icon,
06:57and a gas pump. This is surprising because this implies, for one, that we will need to fill up the
07:03gas in our car, which was highly speculated about for a long time now. But the second is that the
07:10engine gauge may show us when our car will stop working now, either from getting hit too much,
07:15or even potential oil leaks from accidents. Again, this is highly speculative since we don't see it
07:21go down ever. Weapon loadouts will be stored in the trunk of your car, which was seen in this clip.
07:27But on top of that, we also saw a UI icon for storing four different items in your trunk. Now,
07:35what items can be stored in the car and if this is the maximum for every single vehicle isn't known,
07:41obviously. But this does mean that cars will play a much bigger role in your gameplay than simply being
07:48for transportation like we've seen in every other game. And the last thing that I want to go over is
07:53the addition of the honor system from RDR2 making a return to this game. After killing the NPC from
08:00earlier, Jason picks up the wrench and starts beating the NPC on the ground with it, similar to
08:06what we would see in GTA 5. But as he does this, a purple demon emoji can be seen with
08:12a minus sign
08:13in front. Now, obviously, this implied that our honor system was being lowered by hitting an NPC
08:19while he was on the ground, meaning once again, the honor system will be returning from RDR2.
08:25But to what extent this system will play isn't known. Now, to a lot of people, the biggest part of
08:32this
08:32leak is the fact that the entire map was leaked as well. And by this point, it has pretty much
08:38been
08:38confirmed that yes, it is indeed real. Now, the main reason why everyone thinks this is because
08:45pictures of it are aggressively being taken down by Rockstar and Take-Two and constantly getting people
08:53striked on platforms like Twitter. Not only that, but as a little extra, the lead of the GTA 6 mapping
09:00project Yanis believes 100% that this is in fact the real deal. Once again, I am not allowed to
09:07show
09:07this map for obvious reasons, but the map is massive. The main landmass is very similar to what we can
09:16see
09:16on the GTA 6 mapping project, which just shouts out them really. But there is also about 32 islands
09:25and scattered around its entirety. Then on August 19th, the day after the last, two clips had been posted,
09:32one which was taser.mp4 and another which we will simply call the motorcycle clip. At the beginning of the
09:40first clip, taser.mp4, Jason can be seen driving a returning car from GTA Online, the shyster deviant, around a
09:48place
09:49called the Allied Crystal Refinery in Ambrosia, a place that we have already seen. While he's driving
09:56around, a song is playing in the background which is actually Sports Car by Tate McRae, which was released
10:02in January of 2025, meaning that this clip was recorded sometime after early 2025. When exactly from
10:11then until now, we still don't know, but it's likely that it's from 2025 to say the least. Jason then
10:18drives
10:19into the refinery and stops in front of a car and tries to steal it. When he does this, two
10:24options pop
10:25up when stealing the car, Smash Window and Clone Key. The Smashing Window feature is most likely what we
10:34are used to from every other GTA game up to this point, but the Clone Key feature likely refers to
10:40using
10:40a device to clone the key's transponder on new cars. Now this immediately makes me think that cops won't
10:47be able to detect you in this stolen car if you've used a cloned key in order to steal it.
10:53When he
10:54attempts to steal the car, there are guards standing beside and they attack Jason after he does this,
11:00leading to a fight where Jason hits one of them with a slow motion finisher by pistol whipping him in
11:06the face, which looks nearly identical to this clip I found from RDR2. Jason uses his pistol to beat down
11:14more people in the clip, and then proceeds to pick up a taser. This taser seems to have a lot
11:20more range
11:21than what we are used to in GTA 5, and I can already see it being pretty annoying when it
11:27comes to GTA Online.
11:29Jason then steals a truck and gets shot at by one of the guards, and thankfully, the gunshots in this
11:36game sound way more realistic than they did in GTA 5. The truck he takes is an Allied Crystal 18
11:43-wheeler,
11:43and the first clip ends with him driving into traffic and escaping. However, at the end of the clip,
11:50we also got our first leak of a cutscene. Now don't worry, it isn't a story spoiler by any means,
11:57but this cutscene does have a lot of weight to it, and I'll tell you why. The cutscene that plays
12:02is a
12:02conversation between Jason and Cal while drinking on a boat, to which they say,
12:07good living, here's to you buddy, enjoy your life till the men in suits decide to finally shut you
12:13the fuck up. To which Cal responds, they don't know nothing about me man, I use a VPN. Now the
12:21reason why
12:21this cutscene is crazy is because it almost perfectly describes the situation that the hacker is going
12:27through right now. For the decision they made with their physical games, he is trying to stick it to
12:33the men in suits, or in this case Rockstar, but they can't find him. Clip 2 was then posted around
12:404 hours
12:41later, and this is when we find some very new details never seen before. For one, he gets into a
12:47knife fight with a cop, and the knife combat is extremely well done, with a bunch of different slash
12:54techniques. This won't be the only knife fight he gets into in this clip, but it's shown quite well at
12:59the
12:59beginning, so I thought I'd mention it here. After Jason ends the cop, a UI pops up that allows us
13:06to
13:06actually pick up his body from the ground. This was a feature in RDR 2, but in GTA 6, it
13:12most likely is
13:13a way for us to hide the body so that we don't get noticed by the police after committing the
13:17crime.
13:18He then proceeds to steal the cop's bike, and this is when we get our first look at the
13:23inventory system as well. Luckily, as a good visual representation, it looks almost identical to the
13:30mock draw up from the 2022 leaks, so it's likely this design hasn't gone through many variations since
13:37then. While he has the inventory open, however, we can also see three different gauges. Health,
13:42stamina, and the focus that we saw earlier from the basketball leak posted yesterday. How the focus
13:49meter works isn't known, but my thoughts is that it may work similar to the hunger or stress bar in
13:56GTA RP, where the less you eat or the more stressed you become, your character becomes slower and has
14:03trouble seeing, or in this case, possibly focusing. Now, when getting on the bike, another new icon can be
14:09seen on the left. In the leaks yesterday, we mentioned how there was a new icon for cars which
14:14included a gas pump and an engine, but on the bike, there is also a yellow GPS signal. This is
14:22likely for
14:22newer model cars that have built-in GPS systems and could be a part of the 2022 leaked feature we
14:29saw
14:29about not needing a minimap to get around. We then take off down this road and we see an abundant
14:36amount of new cars. We will most likely need to wait for the gtabase.com database to be updated
14:43before we learn them all, but there was enough to keep them busy for a long time. It was also
14:49very
14:49funny that one of the trucks that we drive by had an advertisement for vasectomies with the tagline,
14:56are you f***ed from f***ing? Which just goes to show that the rockstar comedy we know is still very
15:04much present. Jason then drives off the road and crashes the bike into the water, where we got a
15:09very good look at the advanced water physics within the game, which look incredible by the way. Once
15:15again, we get into another knife fight with a bunch of homeless people under a bridge in South Vicedale
15:21County, and during this fight, Jason uses something from his inventory called Zombix. The icon is in the
15:28shape of a pill container and has a heart around it, which makes me think that this is the alternative
15:35for snacks we currently have in GTA 5. However, a notification then pops up telling us that taking
15:41too many of these will lessen their effect. He even picks up these pills from one of the bodies on
15:47the
15:47ground, meaning that this seems to be like the standard way of getting health, and may even be
15:53accessible to NPCs. But speaking of looting bodies, it was also shown that everything that can drop
15:59from bodies needs to be looted just like RDR2, even cash, so gone are the days of cash spilling out
16:06onto the floor from people's bodies after they die. And finally, once again, the clip ends once again
16:12with the troll cutscene of Jason and Cal. Now, a day after the motorcycle clip, we received a leak that
16:19gave
16:19us one of the best looks of Vice City that we've seen yet. Towards the beginning of the clip, we
16:24got
16:25to see what looks to be a figure 8 derby track down below us. We also saw what looked to
16:30be the prison
16:32from trailer 1 with the large tower nearby as well, with guard towers and fencing all along the perimeter.
16:39By the Narco Stadium, which we've seen before in screenshots and various snippets, we were able to see
16:45a marina with approximately 80 to 100 boats and yachts parked there on the docks, as well as a few
16:51more scattered in the surrounding water. For a brief second in this clip, we also got to see a few
16:57of the
16:57new radio stations in the game. Dirty South Classics, Circa Loco Records, Backcountry Radio, Symphony FM,
17:05and Stockyard FM. There was also a feature in the radio menu simply called On Demand. Whether this is for
17:12us
17:13to choose our own songs from the in-game radio or potentially even listen to our own music through
17:19the console Spotify isn't quite known yet. However, the biggest worry that came from this clip was at
17:25the very end, when CyberLeak added a clip of him shooting his name into the wall. This essentially
17:32confirmed to us that he did in fact have a working build of the game. This was a huge worry
17:40for the
17:40community, because as long as he isn't caught, he could continue to spend the next three months to
17:46release recording as many clips as he wants and keep posting leaks of the game indefinitely. And as
17:53we've seen over the following days, that's exactly what he's done. The next morning is when we got our
17:59most detailed look of the driving in GTA 6 from the clip simply titled Hypercar Part 1. At the very
18:06beginning, he steals a True Fate Thrax, which is a returning vehicle from GTA Online. While we knew
18:13this would be the case, the cars also seem to have some brand new customization features as you can
18:18notice an underglow from not only the door, but also the pedals as well. NPCs will now resist getting
18:25taken out of the car when you are trying to steal it, forcing you to spam a button in order
18:31to win the
18:31interaction to pull them out. Probably the biggest thing we noticed from this clip is that it seems
18:37like every single crime that you commit will give you a wanted level if it is reported. As soon as
18:43Jason drives off with the car, the wanted level appears after a notification that says crime reported,
18:49which implies that if you commit a crime in a populated area, it's likely to always be reported.
18:56At the same time, a red circle appears on the minimap, which likely shows the area at which
19:02the cops will begin searching for you after said crime. We notice later in the clip that a solid red
19:09area on the map can be seen, and as soon as he drives out of this area, the wanted level
19:14completely
19:15disappears, implying that this is the area you need to reach in order to fully escape the cops pursuit.
19:21Now, going back, we notice that the AI NPC is also much more realistic, with two NPCs even holding
19:29hands. We saw Lime scooters parked on the side of the road, a working tram with passengers inside that
19:36went over us at one point, we saw a bunch of excavators parked in a construction site along the
19:42route that he drove, and while we don't know the full extent of this feature quite yet, it seems that
19:48some vehicles will come with their own tracking system. At one point in his drive after losing
19:54the wanted level, the GPS icon begins to flash with an audio cue, and many players have speculated that
20:01this is a tracker being pinged to try and find the stolen car. An icon for a pawn shop was
20:07also noticed
20:08underneath the highway that we drove over, and while it's hard for me to describe, the car sounds
20:14compared to GTA 5 are much much better, and extremely realistic. On August 21st is when we got Hypercar
20:22Part 2, and while there wasn't a ton of new stuff that we learned that hadn't already been seen in
20:27previous clips, we did see an important new feature at work, the refueling and repair mechanic. In GTA 5,
20:36the only way to repair your car was by heading to Los Santos Customs, and that location seems to have
20:42been
20:42replaced with gas stations in GTA 6. When we get to the pump, we see two options, repair and refuel.
20:50Now, speculation from fans believes that while it does say repair, it could be that this is only a
20:56basic fix for your car, and may replace some sections with non-uniform parts, which may explain
21:03why we saw Jason's vehicle with different colored panels at the end of trailer 2. We didn't get a look
21:09at the refueling system since he didn't have enough money to do so, so whether it is a single button
21:15press or we need to get out to refuel it isn't currently known. One interesting note is that the
21:21day and night cycle is also much longer in this game, as we saw that 1 minute is equal to
21:276 seconds,
21:28which would make a full day last a total of 2 hours and 24 minutes within this game, which is
21:35over 3 times
21:36longer than GTA 5's which is only 48 minutes. We also notice that it seems like cops do not become
21:42immediately hostile. While parked at the gas station, a cop pulls up and slowly walks over to Jason's
21:49stolen car, acting like he wants to chat or at least investigate the scene first. Then, only when Jason
21:55drives off from the scene does the cop begin his pursuit. We also got to see what it looks like
22:01to
22:01rob a gas station in this clip, however, it doesn't seem overly different from what we do in GTA 5.
22:09There may be many different ways that we can go about robbing this store, but at least from this clip
22:15it seems almost identical to what we are used to. At the very end of the clip, we also got
22:20a very cool
22:21look at a slow motion crash that Jason has with a truck, which renders his car completely inoperable
22:28as one of the wheels falls off during the hit. Now, if you've been keeping up with these leaks,
22:34then you'd know that the next clip we got was filmed at the strip club, which took place at this
22:39location seen in the screenshots. Once again, not much was learned given that he stays within one small
22:46room for the entirety of the clip, but we did get to see some interesting NPC interactions, including NPCs
22:53all having conversations with each other. Jason seemed to get real nosy with a pair of binoculars
22:59as well that the dancers didn't seem to mind, and we could also notice the icon for the pool minigame,
23:06which we somewhat knew would be returning thanks to this screenshot of Jason and Cal playing we got
23:11with trailer 2. Then on August 23rd, we ended off the week with two more clips which featured our first
23:18look at the random encounters. This one featured Jason and an NPC filling up a bathtub sitting in
23:25the bed of his truck with gasoline. As soon as he finishes filling up his bathtub, Jason steals the
23:32truck, and the NPC tries to steal it back to which we then have to spam the button to get
23:38him to stop,
23:39much like stealing the Thrax in an earlier clip. This clip also confirmed RDR2 levels of gore,
23:46as Jason then runs the guy over, and his leg actually comes off. Then at the end, Jason drives
23:53into traffic and explodes the truck, to which we see the GTA 6 wasted screen for the first time.
24:00Now, the second clip we got was yet another overhead flyover of Vice City, but this time at night,
24:07to which it looked amazing. While doing the flyover, a notice of a fishing spot for large common snook
24:15could be seen, confirming the addition of dedicated hunting spots returning from RDR2.
24:21And as a continuation from the first flying clip, we got the names of a bunch more radio stations.
24:28Radio On You, Emotion 98.3, Cocodio FM, World Wide FM, Kaleidoscope FM, The Ola and The Chamber,
24:37as well as a talk show called The White. Now, one major thing as to why I wanted to get
24:44this video
24:45out immediately is because towards the very end of the clip, the subtitle reads, Return to Lucia.
24:53You may have noticed that we have yet to see Lucia in any of these clips yet, and it was
24:58believed that
24:59he didn't have access to her because it might be an early chapter build of the game. However,
25:05at least right now, it seems that that wasn't the case. And so, I feel the need to give a
25:11little PSA
25:12that within the next week, we could start to see story spoilers. And so, if that's something that
25:19you wish to stay away from, I would highly, highly, highly recommend staying on guard for the next few
25:26leaks that we see. But, that is everything that we have learned from week one of these leaks,
25:32and it's very likely that they will keep coming. If you want to see me react to them in real
25:37time,
25:38feel free to come to the stream where we talk about each one whenever they drop.
25:42I appreciate you all, I hope you have a great day, and I'll see y'all in the next one.
25:47Peace!
