00:02The reality of farming in Australia today is it's tough.
00:06So we love producing food for our country.
00:08It gives us great pride, but there's always challenges that pop up,
00:12whether that be financial crises with natural disaster events
00:15that we've got to work with, whether it be a price drop,
00:19whether it be consistently producing a high-quality product.
00:22It's certainly not easy,
00:24and we don't really have a lot of time to switch off.
00:26So, you know, it's just we seem to go from one thing to the next,
00:30and while we get hit with a flood, two years later it'll be a drought,
00:33and then it'll be another flood,
00:34and it's just constantly thinking about how can we continue
00:38to produce this quality product for our consumers.
00:41I think Australians don't see just how hard it is to be a farmer,
00:45how long we work, how hard we work,
00:47the emotional toll of worrying about what our next disaster is going to be
00:51and that sort of thing, but we absolutely love what we do.
00:55The emotional side, you know, it's generational, it's our passion,
00:59it's something that all we want to do is continue to produce milk
01:03and food for Australia, but it does come with a big workload
01:07that, you know, once a disaster's gone, it's months to years
01:11to still recover from it.
01:12To better support Australian farmers, we just need our government
01:16to recognise that when we have these natural disasters,
01:18they're not our fault.
01:19You know, you can be the best farmer in the world, the most resilient.
01:23You know, our cows have 60 years of breeding in them,
01:26so we did everything we could to save them,
01:28but, you know, we do need support so that we can continue
01:32to produce milk into the next generation.
01:35Fifth generation farms, like, it's in our lifeblood,
01:37it's in my children's make-up.
01:40So, you know, it should be something that we can continue to do
01:44and to provide quality milk to Australians.
01:50And to the end, we can use Twitter for the past 10 years before the past 10 years of
