00:00Yeah, around 4.45am this date, emergency services were called to an address at
00:05Walnut Road at Taree. In respect to a stabbing incident, upon arrival, police
00:11found a 36-year-old male suffering from injuries and as a result attempted to
00:17revive that male with the assistance of paramedics but unfortunately succumbed to
00:22his injuries. At that stage, police declared two crime scenes which are
00:27currently being processed by specialist investigators from our forensic teams.
00:32We have teams of detectives on scene and also canvassing the surrounding areas at
00:37this stage. Strike Force Hexalon has been initiated with the assistance of state
00:42crime homicide squad to investigate the circumstances surrounding the young
00:48male's death. Was this a targeted attack? At this stage, this investigation is very early and
00:54it would be remiss of me to speculate at this point. Yes, evidence obtained from the scene
01:00would indicate that there is two crimes and as a result we have to process it that way.
01:06As the offender is unknown, but what I do ask is for the community if you do have information
01:11or people who are in the vicinity of Ronald Road, Taree, 20 hours of 4.30am and 5am today, with
01:19dashcam,
01:20to come forward, contact crime stoppers or Taree police. At this stage we have witnesses that
01:26have come forward and they're being spoken to by police at this stage. But yeah, we'll see
