Extreme weather hits Europe as wildfires, floods and storms force thousands to evacuate

Extreme weather is hitting Europe, with wildfires in Serbia and Bosnia, floods and fires in Spain, and severe storms in Poland. Thousands have been evacuated as firefighters battle fires, floods and power cuts.

00:00Europe continues to face severe weather, with wildfires, floods and storms affecting several
00:05countries.
00:06In Serbia, an EU response-evolving helicopters and firefighters is helping battle a blaze
00:11that has engulfed more than 1,600 acres in the Deliplatska Paskara Nature Reserve.
00:17A Russian Ilyushin water bomber and Serbian army helicopters are also assisting.
00:22Beyond Serbia, a large wildfire near Bosnia-Croatia border forced village evacuations and closed
00:28the main highway between Trebnice and Dubrovnik.
00:32Croatian firefighters joined the response as strong winds pushed the flames inland.
00:37In Spain, flooding in Tarragona injured 11 people after more than 145 millimeters of rain
00:44fell in some areas.
00:46Meanwhile, firefighters in Valencia stabilized a wildfire that burned around 630 hectares
00:52and forced more than 1,000 people to evacuate.
00:56Further north, Poland recorded more than 6,500 storm-related incidents since Friday.
