00:00You played for Dr. Jerry Buss in the Showtime era.
00:03What do you think he would be thinking about all this going on right now?
00:05Yeah, I don't think he would be very happy right now.
00:08And I never thought in my lifetime that I would see anybody or any other organization or company or corporation
00:14owning the Los Angeles Lakers even.
00:16You were very close to them and obviously the way they ran the organization.
00:19What do you think of everything that's going down?
00:20I love Jeannie. Absolutely love Jeannie and what she's about.
00:23It's unfortunate that, you know, family drama and I've had it has to play out publicly.
00:28But I support Jeannie 100 percent.
00:30I think she's done a great job of trying to continue to make the Lakers stand for what her dad
00:34wanted them to stand for.
00:36So I hope she continues to stay on the management side and, you know, things go her way.
00:41You played under the Buss family when you were with the Lakers and winning championships with the Lakers.
00:45It seems like they might, you know, not be a part of it anymore.
00:47Would that be strange to you?
00:49That would be sad. It'd be strange and very, very sad.
00:51You think about I don't think people understand what the Buss, what Dr. Buss brought to the NBA.
00:56As far as, you know, putting entertainment and sports together.
01:01I've got to ask you because you were part of the Showtime Lakers, early Dr. Buss era, winning all those
01:05championships.
01:06What do you think of all this and what's going off the Buss family?
01:09And what would you think Dr. Buss would think of all this right now?
01:11Greatness starts from the top and it goes down.
01:14And I think that's what you're getting over there with the Dodgers as far as Mr. Walters, again, assembling the
01:20players that he has.
01:20He's got a great manager in Roberts.
01:23And I think with players coming into that organization and always thinking about we and not me, that's what makes
01:30championships.
