00:10A third person was also wounded in the attack, as media reports say that police shot the suspect in the

00:18While the Fagesta municipality said in a statement that the assailant had been detained by police.
00:24Following the attack, eight other schools in the area were placed under lockdown measures, and a state of high alert
00:31was declared in the Vastmanland region.
00:34Police have said there is currently no danger to the public.
00:37In a post on X, Sweden's Prime Minister, Ulf Christensen, said that they are yet sure of the motivations of
00:44the attacker.
00:45The incident occurred in a relatively small town with a population of approximately 12,000.
00:52Sweden has experienced a number of attacks on educational institutions in recent years.
