00:00Do I need to get at a different level that maybe I'm overlooking?
00:03Because we've got it so quick in society where it's the microwave, the instant gratification, Amazon, two-day prime.
00:10You get it right away, and we miss out on that humanistic aspect, which is the sad part because we're
00:17missing the core piece of the person.
00:21Well, may I share something with you?
00:23Since I'm a CEO of a company, I have leverage.
00:27I can hire and fire you.
00:28I can make or break you.
00:31I choose the former, and you judge somebody's character during chaos or during good times.
00:38And so what I have done, and maybe it's just the way that I was raised, first, I'm a guest
00:43in this country here.
00:45It makes it very humble, the fact that I've been accepted and grew a business.
00:48And so what I have to do is to ensure that these people, once again, have their pride.
00:56And I wish I could give you a financial tip and trick or a cracked CEO code as the million
01:04-dollar answer.
01:05But, gentlemen, it's really just as simple as the relationship that I have with the people, besides learning their language
01:11and giving them job stability and making it fun as well.
01:16I am setting that example that a CEO does know your name and does break bread with you.
01:23And as much as people are surprised, it seems normal to me.
01:26And these other people have the opportunity to do it, and they don't.
01:30And I don't know what people, the stereotype of a fat cat business owner that should be bah humbug and
01:38firing people and kicking dirt in eyes.
01:41Well, those are the sort of kings that didn't last very long.
01:46And as I'm going to say before, I'm really only as stable as my foundation.
01:52Yes.
01:53I've had people with me over a decade.
01:55And these are the individuals through delegation and through internal promotions have risen the ranks to floor manager and chief
02:04technical officer.
02:05And I couldn't be more proud.
02:07And these individuals not only speak for me, but they walk with me.
02:12And besides the money, if you can ever experience that sort of commitment, relationship, and bond, that's priceless.
02:22I can't put a number on that.
02:25Right.
02:26And being humble and being grateful, these are certain things that will give you the endurance to last and maintain
02:36your reputation.
02:37Love that.
02:39I'm like, so how do we sign up for training with you, Richard?
02:43It'd be my one.
02:44Just watch this video today.
02:46You'll do just fine.
02:48But a lot of it, gentlemen, is just common sense.
02:51Just have manners.
02:52Just be active listening and interested when you're speaking with people.
02:56That's all.
