00:14Colombia's President Abelardo De Lespriella announced on Wednesday from Bogotá that the
00:18death toll from the earthquake had risen to 314. On the same day, De Lespriella declared
00:23a state of social and ecological emergency. The President also signed the decree late at
00:28night after announcing that more than 30,000 homes had been affected and that an agreement
00:34had been reached with the insurance companies to expedite solutions. The decree has already
00:39been signed by all ministers and is now following the administrative process toward the Constitutional
00:44Court. Meanwhile, officials' figures illustrate the scale of the challenge.
01:00We have received reports of impacts in 15 departments and 471 municipalities. As of now, 262,054 people
01:11have been affected, representing 147,464 Colombian families. Unfortunately, 314 compatriotas
01:20have lost their lives. 314 of our fellow citizens have lost their lives. To their families,
01:29I reiterate, on behalf of the national government, on my own behalf, and of course on behalf of my family,
