Former Liberian vice president charged in transnational drug probe

Liberia has charged former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor with drug trafficking, money laundering and related offences in an investigation into an alleged transnational narcotics network.

00:19She faces multiple charges including the unlicensed importation sales and distribution of controlled substances as well as criminal conspiracy and

00:30Three foreign nationals have also been charged in absentia over their alleged roles in the network.
00:35The case comes weeks after Liberia announced its largest ever cocaine seizure worth at an estimated $336 million.
00:44According to authorities, that case is separate from allegations against Howard Taylor.
