00:05Tick-a-villa
00:33Hello!
00:35Here we are, just a few more turns.
00:42Oh, good to be.
00:43Oh, hello, and welcome to Tick-a-villa.
00:47I've just finished making this toy box.
00:49It's for Tamba's Toys.
00:51Boo!
00:53Is it finished yet?
00:55Yes, it's all finished.
00:56Oh, it's perfect.
00:58You are so clever.
01:00Oh, well, actually, Tamba,
01:02all I had to do was put the bits and pieces together,
01:05like a puzzle, so it wasn't that hard.
01:08Well, there's lots of room inside for all my toys,
01:10and...
01:11Oh, it's quite easy to lift, isn't it?
01:13Oh, well, that's because it's empty,
01:15and when it's empty, it's very light.
01:17There we go.
01:18Oh, goodness.
01:19Oh, careful.
01:20Well, lots of Tamba's toys here.
01:23Oh, do you know what?
01:24Before we put the toys in the toy box,
01:26we should have sorted them out
01:27to see which toys you don't play with anymore.
01:30Oh, yeah, that's a good idea.
01:33What don't you play with anymore, Tamba?
01:35Let's have a look, shall we?
01:36Oh, how about this rattle?
01:39You used to have this when you were a baby.
01:41You don't play with this anymore.
01:42Oh, Justin, that's my best rattle.
01:44But you don't play with it anymore.
01:47Oh, I know, but I don't want to throw it away.
01:50OK, well, how about we give it to some other children
01:52that are younger to play with?
01:53Oh, now, that's a good idea.
01:55Right, great.
01:58Now...
01:58What else, Tamba?
02:00Well, there's my spinning spaceship.
02:02Now, that's old.
02:03Oh, that's a good idea.
02:04You've had this for a very long time.
02:06I don't really play with my teddy much.
02:09And there's Mr. Krinkles.
02:11Oh, yeah, Mr...
02:12Hang on!
02:13Not Mr. Krinkles.
02:15But he's all crinkly and velvety and he's jingly.
02:23Oh, OK.
02:24Let's keep him, then.
02:25WHEW!
02:26I'd forgotten all about some of these toys.
02:29It's nice to see them again.
02:31Oh, there's my yellow ball.
02:35Now, that's really bouncy.
02:37Oh, yes.
02:37Let's have a look.
02:38Let's see if it still bounces, Tamba.
02:40Whoa!
02:41Yes, you can keep that.
02:43Oh, there's my hula hoop.
02:45Watch this.
02:45Are you ready?
02:47Hula, hula, hula, hula, hula, hula.
02:49All right, then I need some more practice.
02:52Wow.
02:52Can I keep something out to play with, please?
02:55Yes, what do you want to play with?
02:57Now, well, my yellow...
02:58No.
02:59How about...
03:00Oh, no.
03:02Oh, I don't know.
03:04What shall we play with today?
03:08Hey!
03:09What shall we play with today?
03:12There's not enough wide awake time in the day
03:16To play all the games we'd like to play.
03:20Hmm.
03:22I'd like to play with my bouncy ball, please.
03:24OK.
03:26I really like my bouncy toy,
03:28My bouncy, ousie, welty toy.
03:31I play with it this way.
03:33Just this.
03:34Whoa!
03:34I really like my bouncy toy,
03:38I'd like to bounce around all day.
03:46And play.
03:50What shall we play with today?
03:53Hey!
03:54What shall we play with today?
03:58There's not enough wide awake time in the day
04:02To play all the games we'd like to play.
04:06What about your cuddly, waddley toy?
04:08He's really cuddly.
04:11I really like my cuddly toy,
04:16My cuddly toy's OK.
04:20I really like my cuddly toy,
04:24I'd like to cuddle up all day.
04:32And play.
04:35What shall we play with today?
04:39Hey!
04:40What shall we play with today?
04:43There's not enough wide awake time in the day
04:47To play all the games we'd like to play.
04:52What's next, Tamba?
04:54Erm, something noisy.
04:55What about this?
04:56Oh, yes!
04:57I really like my noisy toy,
05:00My noisy, oisy, noisy toy.
05:02I play with it this way.
05:05I really like my noisy toy.
05:10I'd like to make a noise all day.
05:14Play, and play.
05:21Yeah!
05:24So what do you want to play with, Tamba?
05:28Erm, I think I'd like to play with the toy box.
05:33The toy box?
05:35Ah, yes, I like the way it moves.
05:39Well, except I can't move it anymore.
05:42Yeah, that's because it's full of toys, Tamba.
05:45It's too heavy to move.
05:47Whoa.
05:48Hey, hang on a minute.
05:49You could always play with...
05:51Mr. Crinkles.
05:54Oh!
05:56Oh, that's the windows.
05:59And I think there's someone who'd love to play with Mr. Crinkles
06:03through the windows today.
06:04That's right.
06:05And why don't you guess which window it will be?
06:08How many windows?
06:10One, two, three.
06:14Round, square or arched?
06:17Which one will it be?
06:24It's the round window.
06:29Emily's very excited.
06:32She's got a new baby sister.
06:35One, two, three.
06:37It doesn't fit me.
06:39It doesn't fit me.
06:43Big bed.
06:46Little bed.
06:48Here's where her baby sister will sleep.
06:51Can you reach it?
06:58Yay!
06:59It works!
07:01It works.
07:01And what can you hear?
07:03Music!
07:05And what will that help?
07:07What will the baby do?
07:08It will go to sleep.
07:09It will go to sleep, will it?
07:12My baby goes to sleep.
07:14My baby goes to sleep.
07:16And that's your baby, isn't it?
07:29All covered up.
07:31Nice and soft.
07:34Emily's going to find a toy for her new baby sister.
07:37Which toy do you think she'll like playing with?
07:40Best.
07:41Yeah, which toy do you think she'll like the best?
07:44A rattle.
07:45What will she do with that?
07:47A rattle.
07:48She'll rattle it.
07:49I'll just rattle it and play with it.
07:53Mm-hmm.
07:53Like this.
07:55Right, well, you put your shoes on.
07:56And then we go into the hospital.
07:59And who are we going to see there?
08:01Baby and Mary!
08:03Mm-hmm.
08:04And what are you going to show the baby?
08:06What have we got for the baby?
08:08Toy and Eve!
08:10Brilliant.
08:10Yeah.
08:11Now, we need to get your coat on, don't we?
08:13Yeah.
08:17Let's go in the car to the hospital!
08:20Emily's going to see her baby sister for the very first time.
08:24Hello.
08:26Who's this?
08:28Hooray!
08:29Can you come to see?
08:31And there's Emily's brand new baby sister.
08:34She's called Scarlet.
08:36Give her to Mummy, haven't I?
08:38Do you want to pick her up?
08:42Do you want to pick her up?
08:43Ooh.
08:44Can you sit on the back of me?
08:46Oh!
08:49That's better, isn't it?
08:51Shall we give you...
08:52Do you want to hold her?
08:54Emily's going to give her baby sister a cuddle.
08:57There we are.
08:58She is.
08:59Good for you.
09:00And she stopped crying as well.
09:02She's pleased to see you.
09:12Do you want to show her the rattle?
09:14Here's the toy that Emily chose for her sister.
09:18Why don't you shake it gently for her?
09:26A brand new baby called Scarlet.
09:32Here's how it is in my finger.
09:37One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
09:42Ten fingers.
09:44Ten tiny fingers.
09:46See how tiny her feet are.
09:49One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
09:53Put your foot up there.
09:57Look.
09:58Your foot's much bigger, isn't it?
10:00And here's what's much bigger.
10:03And your foot used to be that small.
10:05It's grown and grown and grown.
10:24Look, tiny Scarlet is fast asleep.
10:30That baby was so teeny tiny, wasn't she?
10:33And very cute.
10:35And it's really exciting because two babies have come to visit us in the Tickabilla house.
10:43And I think they're enjoying themselves as well.
10:46Welcome, Chinette and Teresa, to the Tickabilla house.
10:49And thank you for bringing your gorgeous babies.
10:51Now, who have we got here, Chinette?
10:52Elliot.
10:53This is Elliot, baby Elliot.
10:55And baby Unique.
10:56Hey, good to see you.
10:58Now, we've got lots of questions to ask you.
11:01I think, Tamba, you're going to start, aren't you?
11:02Oh, yes.
11:03Nice to meet you, baby.
11:05My name is Tamba.
11:08Yes.
11:08And I'd like to ask you, you look very, very smart today.
11:12And I wondered how long it took you to get dressed, because it takes me quite a long time, doesn't
11:19it, Justin?
11:20Yeah, Tamba, Tamba.
11:21Now, Elliot and Unique are babies.
11:23They can't talk yet.
11:25They're too young.
11:26How old are your babies?
11:27Unique is six months of.
11:29Yeah.
11:29And Elliot's seven months.
11:30Oh, I see.
11:31Now, they know each other quite well, because, in fact, they're cousins, aren't they?
11:34They are.
11:35Yes.
11:35Oh, I see.
11:36Right.
11:37So, Tamba, what else would you like to ask?
11:39Well, what I'd really like to ask is what their favourite food is, because mine's banana sandwiches.
11:45What's your favourite food?
11:47I think you'd have to ask their mothers.
11:49Well, Unique.
11:50Unique likes green bananas and plantains, all blended together like a smoothie.
11:57Oh, that sounds yummy.
11:58And what about Elliot?
11:59Elliot likes sweet potato and broccoli.
12:02Oh, I see.
12:03And talking of favourite things, now, we've got lots and lots of toys over here.
12:08Now, these all belong to Elliot and Unique, is that right?
12:11Yes.
12:11That's right.
12:11And what do they like playing with?
12:13Unique loves the ratto.
12:14Oh, yeah.
12:15Caterpillar ratto.
12:16Ah, here we are, Unique.
12:18Would you like to see this?
12:19Look.
12:19Woo-hoo.
12:20Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah.
12:22Blah-blah-blah-blah.
12:23Ha-ha-ha.
12:24Oh, yeah, you can tell he likes that.
12:26There you go.
12:27And what about Elliot?
12:28Elliot likes the teaving ring.
12:29Ah, OK.
12:31Here we are, Elliot.
12:32There we are.
12:34Would you like to play with your...
12:35Oh, yes.
12:35He does.
12:37Ha-ha-ha.
12:38And Tamba's got some favourite toys, haven't you, Tamba?
12:40Oh, yes, and I've got some toys that I thought you babies might like.
12:45Where's the rattle, Justin?
12:47Oh, yeah, it's over here.
12:49There we are.
12:49You can have the rattle.
12:51Oh, right.
12:51Shall we give that to Elliot?
12:53There we go.
12:54Do you like that?
12:56Oh, yes.
12:57Oh, I think he likes it.
12:59And what about Unique?
13:00Have we got a toy for Unique?
13:01Oh, yes.
13:02I think you might like my green hoop.
13:05Oh, OK.
13:07Let's see.
13:08That's the one.
13:08Here you are.
13:09This is from Tamba, Unique.
13:11There we go.
13:13Oh, yes.
13:14Look, he likes it.
13:15Oh, I'm glad.
13:18There's one more toy here, Tamba.
13:20It's Mr. Crinkles.
13:22What about him?
13:23Oh, that's for you, Justin.
13:24For me?
13:25He likes Mr. Crinkles.
13:27Ha-ha.
13:28Good old Mr. Crinkles.
13:30Great.
13:31Now, babies need a lot doing for them, don't they?
13:33Yes.
13:34In fact, you have to dress them.
13:36Oh.
13:36Yep, feed them.
13:37Yes.
13:38Change them.
13:38Of course.
13:40Changing.
13:41And we've got a nappy right here.
13:44And Tamba, you know, you used to wear nappies.
13:47Did I?
13:48Yeah.
13:49Oh.
13:50Well, thank you very much, Sinette and Teresa,
13:53for bringing in your gorgeous babies, Unique.
13:55And Elliot, thank you.
13:58No problem.
13:59Oh, sounds like the clock.
14:01And you know what?
14:02There's a baby in today's story.
14:06Let's go and see what time it is.
14:08I wonder what the story's going to be about.
14:11Eh?
14:12Ha-ha-ha.
14:16Tick-a-billa, tock-a-billa, tick-a-billa, tock.
14:21What's the time on the tick-a-billa clock?
14:25Well, let's find out.
14:26Shall we, Mr. Crinkles?
14:27Right.
14:29Well, the long hand is pointing down to the number six.
14:34So that means it's half past something.
14:37And the short hand is halfway between the number two
14:42and the next number.
14:44So that means it's half past two.
14:48But what's underneath the clock?
14:54Aha!
14:55It's Somerton Mill!
15:00Down at the bottom of a very pretty valley,
15:03there's a magical place called Somerton Mill.
15:07And when the water wheel turns at Somerton Mill,
15:11a little bit of magic takes place.
15:15And, for a little while,
15:17everything goes back to how it used to be.
15:23Oh, it's a lovely morning,
15:26said Dan,
15:27as he looked out over Somerton Valley.
15:30Fluffer had found something in the bushes.
15:33What have you got there, Fluffer?
15:35said Dan,
15:36as he went over to have a look.
15:38Come on, out the way!
15:40And then Dan saw what Fluffer was sniffing.
15:44Well, hello,
15:46you sweet little fluffy thing,
15:48said Dan.
15:49It was a baby mill freak.
15:51What are you doing here all on your own?
15:55You'd like some warm milk, wouldn't you?
15:57said Dan,
15:58and he gently picked it up.
16:00Morning, Dan,
16:01said Mrs. Neighbour,
16:02as she walked around the corner,
16:04past Mousy Tongue, the cat,
16:06who was lying in the sun.
16:08Well, good morning to you, Mrs. Neighbour.
16:10Look what I found.
16:12And Dan held his hand out
16:14to show Mrs. Neighbour the little creature.
16:16Oh, he's very sweet.
16:19Isn't he?
16:19said Mrs. Neighbour.
16:21Where was he?
16:22Just down there in the bushes.
16:24Fluffer found him.
16:26I was just going to warm him up some milk.
16:28Oh, I wouldn't.
16:30I'd put him back where you found him.
16:32His parents will probably be looking for him.
16:34But I thought maybe he was lost,
16:37said Dan.
16:38Oh, I wouldn't think so, Dan.
16:40It would be best to leave him in the bushes.
16:42They'll look after him.
16:44Oh, well, maybe you're right, Mrs. Neighbour.
16:46I'll put him back.
16:48And Dan gently put the baby mill freak
16:50back down onto the ground.
16:53There you go, you lovely little fluffball,
16:57said Dan.
16:59Oh, listen.
17:01Are you sure he isn't lost, Mrs. Neighbour?
17:04He doesn't sound very happy.
17:06Well, if we wait here quietly,
17:09we'll see what happens,
17:10said Mrs. Neighbour.
17:11Ah, good morning,
17:13said Dr. Neighbour.
17:14Oh, good morning to you, Dr. Neighbour.
17:16We were just watching a baby mill freak.
17:19Look, he's down there.
17:21Talking about mill freaks,
17:23said Dr. Neighbour.
17:24I let the chickens out on the way past,
17:26and there was a mill freak
17:27inside the hen house too.
17:29I don't know how it got in there.
17:32Oh, listen to him,
17:34said Mrs. Neighbour.
17:35He's making a bit of a racket, isn't he?
17:38Oh, look.
17:39That's the one that was inside the chicken house.
17:41said Dr. Neighbour,
17:43as a mill freak appeared on the grass.
17:45I recognise the white patch on its back.
17:48If I'm not mistaken,
17:50it's looking for the baby,
17:52said Mrs. Neighbour.
17:54Oh, I hope so,
17:55said Dan.
17:56And while they watched,
17:58the mill freaks found each other,
18:00and became the happiest mill freaks
18:02in the whole world.
18:03Oh, look,
18:05said Mrs. Neighbour.
18:07You said that would happen,
18:08didn't you, Mrs. Neighbour,
18:09said Dan.
18:10And the baby mill freak
18:12followed the big mill freak
18:13across the grass
18:14and back to the mill freak burrows.
18:18Come on, Mrs. Neighbour.
18:19We ought to be going.
18:21Bye, Dan.
18:22Bye then, Dr. Neighbour.
18:23Bye, Mrs. Neighbour.
18:25Bye, Dan.
18:26And Dr. and Mrs. Neighbour headed back
18:29towards their pretty cottage.
18:31And Mousy Tongue was still lying asleep in the sun.
18:43And as the water level drops back down,
18:46the big old water wheel slows
18:48and eventually stops.
18:51And Somerton Mill,
18:53still beautiful in its tumble-down state,
18:56goes back to being a home
18:57just to the wild animals,
18:59the birds,
19:00and the plants.
19:03That little mill freak
19:05was tiny, wasn't it?
19:07And I love the way it moved about.
19:10Oh, and there's someone else
19:12that likes to move about, too.
19:15It's Tamba.
19:23Big yellow sun is out
19:26And all the birds are tweeting
19:29I'm so happy that the sky is blue
19:33I'm going to tweet
19:35like a birdie, too
19:39Everybody tweet now
19:42Tweet now
19:44We could tweet all day
19:48Tweet in and out
19:50And shake it all about
19:51Tamba, Tamba, aye-yay
20:02Big yellow sun is out
20:05And all the frogs are leaping
20:09I'm so happy that the sky is blue
20:13I'm going to leap like a froggy, too
20:19Everybody leap now
20:21Leap now
20:24We could leap all day
20:27Leap in and out
20:29And shake it all about
20:30Tamba, Tamba, aye-yay
20:33Let's play!

20:52Big yellow sun is out
20:55And all the fish are swimming
20:59I'm so happy that the sky is blue
21:02I'm going to swim like a fishy, too
21:09Everybody swim now
21:11Swim now
21:13We could swim all day
21:17Swim in and out
21:18And shake it all about
21:20Tamba, Tamba, aye-yay
21:23Let's play!
21:24Hoola, hoola, Tamba, aye-yay
21:27Rolla, rolla, Tamba, aye-yay
21:31Go down, low down, Tamba, aye-yay
21:35Shake it, little, shake it, little
21:37Aye-yay, aye-yay
21:40Let's play!
21:44I'll come and play with you in a minute, Tamba
21:49I'm just putting some wheels on Tamba's toy box
21:52So it'll move more easily
21:55That's the windows
21:56And we're going to see some animals
21:59Who are learning to move for the first time
22:02Through the windows today
22:03But which window will it be?
22:06How many windows?
22:08One, two, three
22:10Round, square, or arched
22:13Which one will it be?
22:20It's the arched window
22:29No matter what animal you are
22:32If you're going to learn to walk
22:34You're going to need feet and legs
22:48Whether you crawl like a lizard
22:54Wuddle like a penguin
22:59Or stomp like an elephant
23:05It takes time to find your feet
23:11These baby reindeer are less than an hour old
23:14And already they're learning to stand on all four feet
23:20And it's not long before they're taking their first steps
23:26Hey, watch where you're going, Mum
23:28Cool, this is thirsty work
23:34Learning to walk on ice is a bit tricky
23:37It's more like skating
23:41Oh, they've got the hang of it now
23:43And they're both off and running
23:57Learning to walk is very important for ostriches
24:01Unlike many other birds, ostriches don't fly
24:04After 40 days inside these eggs
24:08The chicks are ready to hatch
24:11They're poking their beaks through the eggs
24:14And this is the first thing this one is seeing
24:17Whilst hatching
24:21Newly hatched chicks can walk almost straight away
24:24But it takes a few moments to stand on their own two feet
24:29They're all a bit unsteady to begin with
24:46Once all the chicks have hatched
24:49Within two days they are ready to leave their nest on the ground
24:52And explore with their mum and dad
24:57Learning to walk is proving to be a bit of a struggle
25:01For this wildebeest calf
25:04He's just been born
25:06And this is his first ever attempt at standing up
25:12It's not easy
25:14His legs are very wobbly and weak
25:22Look, his mum is helping him to take his first steps
25:50Learning to walk takes more than having feet and legs
25:53You also need a little bit of practice
25:56And lots of energy
26:03Oh, I loved seeing all those baby animals learning to walk
26:07They were very clever, weren't they?
26:10Look, Tamba, I'm pushing the toy box
26:12And it's full of toys
26:14But it was too heavy
26:15And we couldn't move it
26:17I know, but I've put some wheels on it
26:19So now we can move it more easily
26:21Oh, that's brilliant
26:23Now you can play with all your toys
26:26And your toy box
26:31The wheels on the box go round and round
26:35Round and round
26:37Round and round
26:38The wheels on the box go round and round
26:42All day long
26:47Mr. Crinkles in the box goes
26:50Crinkle, crinkle, crinkle
26:51Crinkle, crinkle, crinkle
26:53Crinkle, crinkle, crinkle
26:55Mr. Crinkles in the box goes
26:57Crinkle, crinkle, crinkle
26:59All day long
27:03What else is in the box?
27:06The horn in the box goes
27:13The horn in the box goes
27:18All day long
27:22All your toys in the box there, Tamba
27:25Yep, all in one place
27:26Well, it's time for us to go, I'm afraid
27:29Yeah, well, why don't you sort out some of your toys?
27:32Oh, you might find some toys you'd forgotten all about
27:35We'll see you very soon
27:37Bye-bye!
