00:00The OpenAI Hugging Face incident, it was one moment we got to see into the future.
00:04You could see how automated attacks are going to become possible,
00:08that these will be capabilities that will be in the hands of threat actors in upcoming months
00:13because this technology is being created across the world by many organizations.
00:18But defenders have a moment now where they can change their practices,
00:22where they can up-level everything that they're doing.
00:24And I think that fundamentally what's going on is that we're learning that human-written code
00:28is full of vulnerabilities, that there is tech debt that's building up over time,
00:33and that we can actually, the same tools that are going to be potentially used
00:39to find those vulnerabilities and exploit them, they can actually find them first and fix them.
00:43That's why defenders have an upper hand, have an advantage, but need to lean in.
00:47So we are talking about the practices that we're using at OpenAI.
00:50We are very urgently moving to up-level everything we do,
00:54but also lessons that apply to the general industry
00:57and tools that can help make everyone more secure.
