After crossing into Peru from Ecuador, we continue our journey south along the Pacific coast. We visit Máncora, Piura, Chiclayo, Trujillo, Pacasmayo and Huarmey, discovering a fascinating mix of beautiful beaches, desert landscapes, historic cities and everyday Peruvian life.
The journey doesn't always go according to plan, and driving through Peru brings plenty of unexpected moments along the way.
This is another chapter of our long-term South America road trip, traveling thousands of kilometers by car and exploring the continent at our own pace.
