00:00Today we're gonna talk about a very enigmatic case because this man we're
00:05gonna be talking about today was considered a fool. We're talking about
00:10Ricky McCormick. His body had been found next to some bushes in a remote area of
00:16St. Charles County in the state of Missouri. And why did I mention his
00:21intelligence? Because of something that according to experts a person with very
00:26little intelligence like Ricky wouldn't be able to do which is to write two
00:30notes with encrypted messages. So complex that even the FBI couldn't solve them for
00:36more than 27 years. He had two bullets lost in his head and there are reports
00:41that mention his neck had a deep cut. He ended up committing a terrible crime by
00:47being with a minor and because of that he was convicted. 2-3 years in prison but he
00:53had been released 13 months later when he was granted parole. Two weeks before his
01:00death the authorities found that Ricky had entered a bus station and bought a
01:05one-way ticket but not a return ticket to Orlando. There are witnesses who said they
01:11saw him meeting with someone but they were never able to identify this person.
01:16There are also phone records from his girlfriend a girl named Sandra Jones. When
01:21she was interviewed for the investigation she mentioned that she believed her
01:25boyfriend was going to Florida to receive and also deliver illegal substances.
01:35The girlfriend always believed that the one who heard Ricky was or had to have
01:40been his boss. Because apparently in Orlando Ricky did something that made his boss
01:46angry and this man's name is Bob Khandala. The case went cold and for years the
01:52authorities tried to decipher the two notes that Ricky had in his pocket. They
01:57believe that these notes have all the information needed to find out who hurt
02:02Ricky. We have to say that thousands of people worked on these notes without being
02:07able to solve the message. This is one of the theories that Ricky was a genius with a
02:13complicated life. There's another theory that says maybe Leakey didn't write
02:17these notes. That it must have been someone else. Maybe the boss or someone who was
02:23manipulating Ricky. And there's a third theory, which honestly I feel is the most
02:28realistic. Ricky was a strange man, uneducated, who lived in a fantasy world.
02:34Despite all this, strangely, Ricky is considered a brilliant mind on the level of
02:40the zodiac killer because of those notes found in his pocket.
