Today’s work, [Sub Specie], was written based on the core theories of the 17th-century master of rationalist philosophy, Baruch Spinoza: "Sub Specie Aeternitatis" (Under the Aspect of Eternity) and "Conatus." Spinoza sought to understand the world through geometric necessity rather than fleeting emotions. He believed that true freedom and sovereignty are attained only when humans transcend personal feelings to realize the grand order of the universe. This project visualizes Spinoza’s "necessary order" through an empty marble space and a rigid, linear composition.
The line "Fire in the logic, Conatus!" in the lyrics sings of the fusion between chilling intellect and burning will. Furthermore, the declaration "Beyond all emotion, absolute Focus" reflects the dignity of a designer who views the world from the perspective of eternity and becomes a law unto herself.
