00:00One of the many ways you're tracked online is through your ad ID, a unique identifier assigned
00:04to your mobile device that helps advertisers personalize their offers to you. Luckily,
00:09with just a few easy steps, you can disable or delete your ad ID entirely. This will make
00:13the amount of personalized information you give up to advertisers significantly less.
00:17For Android users, go to Settings, search for ads in the search bar, select ads, and from there you
00:22can either reset your ad ID, which will make it harder for your past activity to be linked to
00:26your current activity, or simply delete it. For iPhone users, go to Settings, find the
00:31Privacy and Security menu, and select Tracking. From there, toggle Allow Apps to Request a Track
00:36off. It will now be harder for advertisers to track you online. To learn more about privacy
00:41and security, check out my articles over at san.com.
