Three company directors and a saleswoman claimed trial at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court on Wednesday (Aug 12) to charges of submitting false claims and abetting others to obtain incentives under PERKESO's Daya Kerjaya 2.0 programme.

The accused - Henry Ratnaike, Gan Pay Kiat, Koh Kai Loon, and Ling Yate May - were charged under the MACC Act 2009 over offences allegedly committed in 2024.

00:33Akmar Abdullah. The charges were brought under Section 18 of the M.A.C.C. Act 2009, punishable
00:40under Section 24, subsection 2 of the same act. All the offenses were allegedly committed at various
00:47locations in 2024. The prosecution proposed bail of 15,000 ringgit for each accused. The court
00:55ultimately granted Ratnaike and Ling bail of 15,000 ringgit each, Gan 13,000 ringgit, and Ko 9,000 ringgit
01:03with one surety. The case has been set for mention on September 14.
