00:01How do you feel about social media in general?
00:05Well, yeah, I think like you said, it can be great for keeping in touch with people,
00:08but then also, being on there, you're opening yourself up to everyone else's opinions.
00:13You might post a photo, so many good comments, so many good comments,
00:16one person says one thing, and I'm in bed, laying in bed, thinking about that one comment.
00:21As soon as I started doing a bit of the punditry and commentary,
00:24as soon as you're a female doing it, you just get negative comments.
00:27Really?
00:28But in my actual reality of life, people would come up and go,
00:32oh, well done, you did well, but then as soon as I opened myself up to social media,
00:36there was all this negativity. I think it can affect mental health so much.
00:41People might say that you're out here, you're doing everything,
00:44but how many people actually check in with you?
00:46Because I've had friends go, oh, well, I didn't check in on you
00:49because you look fine on social media.
00:51The reality being, when I'm feeling down or I'm feeling anxious
00:55or I'm feeling anything negative,
00:57I'm not going to be going on social media.
00:59I'm going to be putting that down and just trying to sort myself out.
01:01I've stopped posting photos like that now
01:03because I sort of think, like, people just see a surface.
01:06So I'd rather just post some pictures of me just in my life
01:09rather than me posing and everything looks great
01:11and just posing the best version.
01:14I think showing imperfections is so much better.
01:16Oh, definitely.
01:17Because you've got to embrace that.
01:19Just as I've got a big thing of chocolate, like, around my mouth.
01:21Yeah, have it, have it.
01:24Imperfections at its finest.
