00:07Episode 6. This episode finally gave us some answers as it picked up from the major cliffhanger
00:12between Kate Fleming and Ryan Pilkington, and saw Kate and Jo running from the law.
00:19Kate and Jo are nowhere to be found, Ryan's dead. Like, what did you make of that scene?
00:24Because honestly, personally, I was watching it, and I don't know about the viewers at home,
00:28but I was watching it thinking, like, what on earth? Like, why is Kate with her?
00:33Like, why didn't she stay at the scene? Like, this woman literally just tried to get her murdered.
00:37I had visions of AC-12 coming in, and just Kate stood by Ryan's body, and that being that.
00:44She was given a firearm.
00:45She didn't do anything.
00:46So, exactly. So I don't really understand. And also, you know, police officers do sometimes do that,
00:53especially if they're AFOs.
00:54Because one thing that we need to consider is that, like, Kate genuinely just liked Jo.
00:58And it's like, you know, I think we've spent all the series thinking, like, oh, is she having Iran?
01:03Is she, like, you know, nestling up to her to get information? This sort of thing.
01:07But I think, like, fundamentally, like, especially from this episode, Kate just likes Jo,
01:13doesn't think that she's a bent cop and wants to help her.
01:15And maybe that's explanation enough for why she sticks with her.
01:20Patricia Carmichael exhibited, I think, a lot of very suspicious behaviour.
01:24She did.
01:25And she was really unhappy with Steve and Ted's methods, wasn't she?
01:29She was proper stifling them.
01:31Every question that they wanted to ask, she was like, I think we should move on.
01:34I think we should move on.
01:35There's more to the reason why she's here, definitely.
01:38She's not just taking over AC-12.
01:39She's being given orders by the top man, I think.
01:43And she really doesn't like the idea that Ted and Steve are so close to just uncovering everything.
01:48My thought was, you know, she believed someone else was her father.
01:51And when they showed Marcus the, well, picture, she obviously knew who it was.
01:55So it's the thought that she believed that Marcus was her actual father before this horrible interview.
02:02Yeah.
02:02Yeah, quite possibly, quite possibly.
02:03And it'd be really interesting if that's the tie, actually.
02:06And that would make sense about Tommy wanting protection for his son and therefore getting it because Marcus was the
02:11SIO during that case.
02:13Ah, smart.
02:14Was the fact that it was an A-list face just a massive decoy here?
02:20Or is it that it's not actually him and Marcus is still out there somewhere who's going to be in
02:26the show more significantly?
02:27What do you reckon?
02:29I don't think he is dead because I know they were using that body cam footage and one of the
02:35AFOs said Marcus farewell.
02:37It might not have been his body.
02:39They haven't ID'd him yet.
02:40So it's possible that, you know, it was someone else's body and he went on the run.
02:44Maybe he got a tip off that the police were coming after him in Spain and then did a runner.
02:50I mean, yeah.
02:51And as you said, I just, I don't, I'm not sure I buy that they would get James Nesbitt to
02:56come on and, you know, that face on the screen being like, oh my God, it's James Nesbitt.
03:01Only for him to not actually make an appearance.
03:04This episode has your perception on who H may be changed.
03:09I think it is Osborne and I think even after episode six, I'm fairly certain it's him, I reckon.
03:17I mean, the fact that he, Chloe was instructed to take his face off the board and dramatically put in
03:24a shredder.
03:25Like they can't just put another picture out.
03:27Like, no, that's it now.
03:29Exactly.
03:31Osborne is in frequent communication with Carmichael and it was Carmichael that ordered Chloe to take the pit down and
03:41shred it.
03:41So they're obviously, you know, on the blower.
03:43A lot of people have been saying as well, both in the comments and on social media, that they think
03:48that, and is it Andrea Wise?
03:51The assistant chief commissioner is involved.
03:55Oh, yeah.
03:56The one that told Ted that he had to retire.
03:59Yeah.
04:00Lots of people think that she might be involved as well and maybe even H.
04:04Less of a theory, more of a prediction for next week as well.
04:08Do you think that Joe taking the rap for Ryan's shooting is like, that's a closed case?
04:14Or do you think that the truth is going to get exposed?
04:17You know, they're both, they're both smart coppers.
04:19They know that little things like that really do come out.
04:23Like, I know, I know the theory is quite legit.
04:26And when Joe was saying that the residue went on Kate's sleeve as she handed over the gun.
04:31But ultimately, I feel like they must know that nothing really gets past, especially AC-12, but also the investigation
04:40team as well.
04:41So I can't help but think it probably is going to come out and it's going to end up being
04:46much worse for them both.
04:47Oh, we'll have to wait and see.
04:49Also, can I just say, like, massive hat tip to people in our YouTube comments who actually guessed that the
04:55two gunshots we heard was Kate doing a double tap because she's firearms trained.
