00:02Hi there, it's Lorraine here. Now one of the few good things about the pandemic, so many people
00:07have been writing books, which of course means there's lots of books for me to read, because
00:11obviously if they come on the show and they've written a book, I have to read what they've
00:15written. Now this, The White Ship, I love this. It's by Charles Spencer, who of course is Princess
00:19Diana's brother, a part of history that I knew nothing about. And that's the wonderful thing,
00:24you learn so much from all of these books. Noel Fitzpatrick, of course, the super vet,
00:28this here is Keira Knightley, his beautiful little border terrier, and she was in a terrible
00:33accident and her dad, Noel, had to operate on her, but she's doing really well. She's a
00:38smashing wee dog. Of course, I've got a border terrier as well, so I'm biased. More dogs,
00:43all of Mabel and Me, that's Andrew Cotter's book about his two dogs. If you haven't seen
00:47this online, it's hilarious. He, of course, is a sports commentator and he talks about
00:52his little dogs as if they are in the Olympic Games or something. It's wonderful. Graham Norton's
00:57written a great page turner, homestretch, really, really good book. I love that. I love this one
01:01by Angeline Connor, Murder on Mystique. And, you know, everybody says, well, you seem to love every
01:06single book that's on the show. Well, of course I do, because if I didn't like the book or enjoy
01:10it,
01:10then we wouldn't have the author on, would we? Now, if you're looking for a cracking story
01:14with a real twist, this one by our very own Rosie, our very own Rosie Nixon, Just Between Friends
01:21is excellent. I think everybody can identify with this. My mum is right in the middle of it and I'm
01:26dying to tell her what happens at the end, but of course I don't want to spoil it. So, yeah,
01:30so happy
01:31reading, especially over Christmas. It's going to be a quieter Christmas, so we'll have a bit more
01:35time. Hopefully we can put our feet up and curl up with a really good book. There's nothing better.
01:39Bye.
