00:01Hola USA, I'm WWE superstar, Zelina Vega.
00:06I am Puerto Rican from Queens, New York and
00:09everybody from my grandmother up is from San Juan.
00:12I have some family in Poquerón, so
00:14it's crazy to be able to bring that kind of flavor to WWE.
00:19But also to bring it to something like this is really amazing.
00:22And it's really a dream come true for me because to be able to celebrate just
00:26our heritage, our culture, our traditions in a platform like this is just crazy.
00:31And again, to have a moment like I did in Puerto Rico at Backlash was insane.
00:36And now, I mean, I'm just, I'm repping through and through, so I'm excited.
00:41I feel like if you don't struggle, you don't appreciate the win in the end.
00:45And I feel like my whole life has been a struggle from just everything that I
00:49started, whether it's in WWE or, I mean, my gosh,
00:52I used to go from Connecticut into New York to take a train all the way into the city
00:58to hop on a nine hour bus ride to get all the way to North Carolina just to train for
01:01a weekend.
01:02So it's things like that where when you finally get to have a moment where you're
01:06having a championship match or you're getting to be in front of like just thousands of
01:11people, especially your people in Puerto Rico, that was a dream come true.
01:15And I mean, that was my WrestleMania moment.
01:17So I feel like without struggle, you don't get to appreciate moments like that when it
01:20actually happens and I'm not a crier.
01:22I'm so not a crier.
01:24So when that came out of me, you know, it was real.
01:29I actually have a ritual, like right before I go out, I have to listen to Nicki Minaj first
01:33to kind of get me in the mood.
01:35But I have a moment where I talk to my dad.
01:37I always call like my guardian angels.
01:39I go through my list, but it's my dad, my uncle, my grandfather.
01:42I mean, even my little puppy that I lost, you know, so it's, I get to talk to them and
01:46tell them to be there with me because without them, I wouldn't be where I am.
01:50And, and even though they're gone, I feel them making sure that I'm safe in the ring.
01:54I always say like, make sure I'm safe, make sure I remember, remember everything, make
01:57sure that, you know, the fans love it.
01:59So it's, it's something that I feel like I'm bringing with me each and every single time.
02:03I have their names on my gear, like on the inside of like my, usually like my knee pads,
02:07I always have their names in there.
02:08So it's a, I feel them every time.
02:12My biggest, biggest manifestation right now is, you know, I had a history making moment
02:17as the first ever queen of the ring.
02:19I've been tag team champion, but I've never actually held singles gold before.
02:23So to be WWE women's champion, that's my, that's my ultimate dream.
02:27And not only that, but you know, 9-11 is coming up.
02:30So for me, it's something that I want to be able to win the WWE women's championship
02:35and get to bring that title to my dad's name at the 9-11 memorial.
02:38Like that is my goal.
02:40And that's whether it happens soon or a year from now, like that is my ultimate goal.
