00:30there that you don't have to be limited by your size or that you can wear absolutely anything with the
00:35right tricks. And so I'm going to show you my tricks. Let's go.
00:41Now what's timeless for you? What are you going to be wearing for the next 10 years to come?
00:47Oh, well, I feel like trends are constantly changing. So for me, there are always going to be staples that
00:52live in my closet, like a bodysuit, a black bodysuit, a good pair of jeans. I love a pair of
00:57Levi's. They're timeless. You could have worn them in the 80s. You can wear them in 2025. I don't care
01:02what you do. Find yourself a good pair of Levi's that make you feel good and comfortable.
01:12Of course, everybody needs a basic or not so basic, beautiful, classic leather jacket. You can splurge or you can
01:21be modest. This was my birthday gift to myself last year. It was a Balenciaga, gorgeous leather.
01:27I told the guy at the store if it fit, I was taking it home. And when I slid my
01:31little chubby arms in there and it fit, it came home with me.
01:37We're now talking about the night. We're transitioning from, you know, the jean look to the night look. Now, I
01:43know you mentioned something about slip dresses.
01:45Slip dresses were something that for me were always really problematic. I could never find the right fit. When you
01:51have an hourglass or when you're curvy in any way, finding a slip dress that is as effortless as they're
01:56supposed to be is really tricky.
01:58And then someone sent me a dress that changed my entire perception on the slip dress. That is this dress,
02:05right? The reason why this fits so magically is because it had a slit right here at the thigh.
02:11And when you add the slit, it molds to your curves. The slip dress is effortless. It's daytime, nighttime, sneakers,
02:18heels, leather jacket, year-round tights, whatever you want.
02:21You can throw on a slip dress as long as you find the right shape for you.
02:29Is there a rule that you just don't care about, that you just broke?
02:33So I think 2020 is the year we throw the rule book out the window and we learn to try
02:37everything on and figure out what works for us, right?
02:40Your shape, different than my shape, different than your shape, and we're going to find what works for everyone.
02:44So for me, I saw all the cool vloggers and fashion girls wearing the biker shorts and I was like,
02:50oh, well, that's nice, but that's not something I'm going to ever be able to wear.
02:54Until I found these at Bandier. They are all access and they're high-waisted. And what I love about them
03:02is the thick band.
03:03And then you throw it on with this blazer, a pair of sneakers, voila, you look like you took so
03:08much time and yet all you're wearing is literally biker shorts, a sports bra, and a blazer.
03:15As Curvy Girls, we didn't have access to the clothes to be able to express ourselves, but nowadays that is
03:21not the case, ladies.
03:22So don't be lazy. Find cute stuff that you can wear. For me, this shirt took me so long to
03:29find.
03:29All I wanted was a funky feather shirt and it was a lot harder to search for than I thought.
03:34But once I found this, I knew that I had to play with fashion.
03:38In order to make it cool, nighttime, fun, I decided to actually pair it with a silhouette that I'm very
03:43familiar with and very comfortable with,
03:45which is just a high-waisted trouser. I found one that had a white stripe on the side, white pump,
03:50done.
03:51You look like a goddess. I got so many compliments that night.
03:57A trend that I always found hard to pull off was the monochromatic when it came to light colors.
04:03So like we're always told white colors make you look bigger and don't wear stripes.
04:08True.
04:08Don't wear like light blue. And well, so nude for me was out of the question.
04:12Oh.
04:13But then I found, I remember looking at Net-A-Porter and they had this nude bodysuit and I was
04:17like,
04:18I love a bodysuit, right? Especially a long sleeve bodysuit. So I feel fully tucked in and supported.
04:23So I actually paired it with this Cordian skirt that I got from Zara, mixed highs and lows.
04:29I always wear them with like a very simple, like sheerish nude shoe.
04:35Don't be scared of colors and don't be scared of fit either.
04:39Play with accordion skirts, play with materials and allow yourself to be your best.
04:45So unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye, but I am so happy that I learned so much.
04:50And I know a lot of people is just like, oh my God, thinking note about everything.
04:53Oh my God, yes.
