00:00Previously on Destination X
00:03You guys want to do your three and then it's us two.
00:06It got personal.
00:08In today's game, you're not playing for yourself.
00:09You're playing for the person your oar is named after.
00:14Judy!
00:15Do you think you can get that oar?
00:17What are you doing?
00:18The oar's there!
00:21Whoops.
00:22I had to push it over.
00:24Promises were made.
00:25If I win it for you...
00:27Will you show the people I need?
00:28You, yeah.
00:30A rubbish clue.
00:31But promptly broken.
00:33Can't say anything.
00:40Oh, Joshy.
00:42He's put something very glaringly obvious and I'm missing it.
00:45Do you believe that?
00:46No.
00:47And it was game over for one more contender.
00:50The player who put their ex furthest away from where we are now is...
00:55Claire.
00:58Oh, my God.
01:00Leaning Tower of Pisa.
01:02Now just four remain.
01:11After saying ciao to Claire in Pisa last night, the X-Bus is now motoring on to its penultimate Destination
01:18X.
01:23The four remaining players are just one stop away from the final and their chance to win 100,000 pounds.
01:32But as battle lines get drawn, tensions on the bus are still simmering for some.
01:53Yeah.
01:53I've got to say, with the clue, I dropped humongous clangor.
02:01Yeah.
02:04But I was thinking you're going to get nothing out of it.
02:07It's going to be wasted.
02:08Really?
02:09Yeah.
02:10I've had a big reality check and then realised that I'm a 58-year-old bloke that's, in the
02:16last four, got to get me in up round things and got to get real.
02:21I promise you, you know I won't go back on The Gentleman's.
02:25That's why I was upset.
02:26Yeah.
02:26Because I thought, no matter what, I didn't go back on The Gentleman's.
02:30I know you see how it looks like that from my point of view.
02:36Josh thinks that I've double-crossed him.
02:39I hope I haven't made myself a target.
02:42But I'd rather go home knowing that my morals are all intact.
02:47I tried hard to win that for you as well.
02:49I was like, mate, I understand it.
02:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:53But I promise you it won't.
02:56At Lee Lake, we had a gentleman's agreement that he would share the clue with me no matter
03:00what, and then turns out he didn't share it with me.
03:05I pretty much lost my trust in him completely now.
03:16I should have done my nails yesterday.
03:19Ugh, God, I need to do mine.
03:21It's just a joke.
03:23I know that, um, you know, we haven't been the best of friends in this experience,
03:27but we're the last two girls, so if you ever want a girly chat, then.
03:31Yeah.
03:32Come on down.
03:35Yeah.
03:37No, honestly, I feel like even saying that we haven't been the best of friends,
03:41I've come to peace with it.
03:43My eyes are now open to how everyone is playing the game.
03:48Josh and Saskia are such strong players, but my head right now is saying I can win.
03:53I just need to start being a bit more strategic.
03:58If you're thinking logically and strategically, Josh, he's been a lot of places.
04:07I can get to the final by making people doubt their alliances.
04:12Even just sowing those seeds will help my game play.
04:17I'm very aware you against him in a challenge is gonna be a big one for you.
04:25Yeah.
04:27Judith can see how much I want this, and she just wanted to give me the heads up.
04:32Essentially, if I do want to win, I need to give myself as much advantage as possible.
04:37I know how good Josh is as a player, and do I really want to be up against that?
04:42Can I take Josh out?
04:44I don't know.
04:45I really don't know.
04:46Oh, man.
04:54The X-Bus is traversing a region which enjoys around 300 days of sunshine a year.
05:05You can play along, too, by following the link.
05:18What are you about to do?
05:20Let me think.
05:21I thought you were about to open that fridge.
05:23Remember, Darren?
05:24Open the fridge.
05:25If you want something from the fridge, you ask somebody else.
05:29Open it.
05:29Open it.
05:29Open it.
05:30Open it.
05:30Open it.
05:31Come on.
05:31No, Darren!
05:40Getting difficult, isn't it?
05:42It's been difficult from the start.
05:46Really, all I've done, it just survived.
05:49Yes!
05:51Now, it's like even the smallest of errors.
05:55In costume.
05:58With the four of us, Josh needs to go next.
06:03He's strong in challenges, and he has a strong relationship with Saskia.
06:08And I think he's been very tactical in creating that relationship.
06:12But I need my own alliance.
06:15I've just got a funny feeling that we're gonna go through.
06:19One of them's gonna go out.
06:20I need it to be that way.
06:24Yeah, me too.
06:26Josh and Sask have been together for a while now.
06:30Hopefully, a little bit of success in the challenge with Judith.
06:33I'll leave, and then it'll leave.
06:35Oh, shh, shh.
06:45Players, I'm back.
06:47And the pleasure is all mine.
06:49You're going to need complete focus for this next game, as things are getting serious.
06:54You've been on the X-plus for a long time.
06:57But as the final approach is, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
07:01So, split into two teams of two.
07:08We'll go as a two, then.
07:10Is that all right for yous?
07:13Don't mind, really.
07:15You're saying that like you're having some second thoughts.
07:20Speak your mind.
07:21I didn't decide on the teams, but if you guys want to be together, then.
07:25Well, we also just assumed that you guys would want to be together.
07:29Because of your alliance and that.
07:36No, not necessarily.
07:40I'm happy to do whatever you guys want to do.
07:48Players, please put on your team tops.
07:50Get the X-goggles on and depart the X-bus.
07:55At this stage, I would love to see Judith on her way home.
08:00That would be lovely.
08:02I feel like she's a very smart cookie and more of a threat than Dazza is.
08:21Oh, my God. I'm boiling.
08:24Wow.
08:31What is this about?
08:33Oh, my God.
08:35Look at it, mate.
08:40It really was like the Indiana Jones set.
08:45It was amazing.
08:48We could have been in America in the Wild West.
08:53I think it was a mine or cave.
08:56Something like that, yeah.
08:57I didn't really see too, too much, but if I had to take a wild stab in the dark, I'd
09:01probably go with somewhere in Spain, maybe Barcelona.
09:05It was all almost temple-like, with these great sort of carved-out caverns.
09:10Gosh, it is hot out here.
09:13It was boiling hot outside.
09:15I've never experienced anything like this before.
09:19Players, welcome to your first semi-final challenge, where you'll battle in teams of two for a chance to win
09:26a vital clue to Destination X.
09:28It's a pretty tense atmosphere, because both teams really want to win, and you're under loads of pressure.
09:36I know and I feel like I have to win this challenge. I need this advantage.
09:42Each team has three unique symbols cut into the rock next to you.
09:49Memorize them.
09:50They've each been paired with three different symbols hidden inside the mines.
09:56You must play a series of puzzles to reveal them.
10:00You must memorize the matching symbols, return here, and pair them up correctly.
10:08The first team to do that will win a clue to Destination X.
10:15How are you feeling, guys?
10:18Hmm. Not what I expected.
10:20My problem-solving skills will definitely be an advantage.
10:25In my day-to-day, I do that, and it's usually complex challenges.
10:30I feel pretty confident, actually.
10:32Being a pilot and all the training that comes along with it will give me the edge.
10:35Remaining calm, collected, and have really good problem-solving skills.
10:40Hidden in the mines are other clues to Destination X.
10:44Good luck.
10:45Players, the challenge begins in three, two, one.
10:54Three.
10:55Three-leaf clue.
10:57Move.
10:58Yes.
10:59Circle across.
11:01Yeah.
11:01Again?
11:02Yeah, good.
11:07Memory isn't my best point, but I just really, really, really want to win that clue at the end.
11:13Let's have it.
11:14All right, let's go.
11:16Ooh, it's cold.
11:26Playing cards.
11:28What the hell could carry an enemy?
11:34Players, in order to find a hidden symbol, you must solve an equation.
11:41Simply calculate the correct combination of coloured sandbags to weigh 19 pounds by using the wall chart in front of
11:49you.
11:54All right, so 45, 45 equals 45.
11:59Okay, yeah.
12:00There was loads of different bags and we had to place three bags on a podium in order to make
12:0519 pounds.
12:06It takes nine to 15 pounds of crap.
12:10Green is three.
12:10Green is three.
12:11Judy's so on the ball with numbers and riddles and things, so I was just like, gosh, we're not going
12:17to get this quick enough.
12:18Can't just look at it so I mean you'll do it.
12:20I design nuclear power stations and I spend a lot of my time doing calculations.
12:27You have to figure out what each colour is first.
12:29Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:29I was actually bottom set maths throughout school, but I feel like I've sort of managed to hone in my
12:35skills.
12:36Yeah, I back myself.
12:38Three, six, nine, twelve, fifteen.
12:40Fifteen?
12:41Yeah.
12:42Okay, so that's me.
12:43That's fifty.
12:44Pass me the red and then put it there.
12:45So...
12:46I need to get to 19.
12:48Blue, six.
12:50Oh, I've done it.
12:51I thought it was mine.
12:52Oh, I did it wrong.
12:53Fifteen.
12:54This is bread and butter for Judith.
12:56She's a really high up engineer and easy equations like these.
13:01I thought that she'd eat for breakfast, but she had a little bit of trouble.
13:05Oh, my God, I'm overthinking this.
13:08It's five.
13:09And then she said, oh, yeah, them three, they must be five because they had up to 45.
13:16I said, no, Judith, I have to be 15.
13:19It's 15.
13:20Yeah, it's 15.
13:21Shit.
13:22Oh.
13:24What?
13:25Something times, no.
13:26Two.
13:26Two, yeah, two.
13:27Yeah, two.
13:28Okay.
13:29So, 15, 16, 17, 18, got it?
13:33Yeah.
13:35Red.
13:36Blue.
13:36Blue.
13:37Blue.
13:38Yeah.
13:38Oh, got it.
13:39Well done, players.
13:40One of the tokens in this drawer matches a symbol etched in the rock outside and hopefully etched
13:47in your memory.
13:48Find it, flip it over and memorize.
13:51Got it.
13:52Look for the book.
13:53That's it.
13:54That's it.
13:54That's it.
13:55When I found the pairing, I was absolutely buzzing.
13:58We can't take it.
13:59We can go?
14:00Yeah.
14:00Yeah?
14:01I got annoyed at myself when I realized that Saskia and Josh had done it.
14:07Then I was just like, ah, I can't do it.
14:09And then Darren had to take over.
14:11We can work that out.
14:13So we know that's 15.
14:14Yeah.
14:14So there are two times 15 is 30 and that's one, isn't it?
14:19It's the blue one.
14:20Oh, it's 31.
14:21I thought it was three.
14:22Yeah.
14:23Think.
14:23So come on.
14:24When you're racing the other team and there's 100 grand on it, you know, I think anyone would
14:30find it difficult.
14:31Let's go.
14:32Your second missing symbol is hanging in plain sight but plunged in darkness.
14:39Illuminate the cave by turning the wheel.
14:42Okay, you turn.
14:43I'll go.
14:47Is it hard?
14:49So the wheel, we'd have to spin for a while.
14:55Oh, sugar.
14:56And then it would reveal some symbols on the other sides.
15:08Okay.
15:10Go again.
15:10It would only keep on a light for a certain amount of time.
15:14What are you saying?
15:14Wait, hold on.
15:16Um, okay.
15:18Right.
15:19Do it again.
15:19Green is two.
15:20Yeah.
15:21Yellow is 15.
15:23Two green, one yellow.
15:26Yeah.
15:27This one.
15:29Yeah.
15:30So it's a star.
15:32Shit.
15:33I misread that so much.
15:35Going into the second challenge, we definitely knew we had to make up some time.
15:41Oh, God.
15:44Go, go, go.
15:51Go again.
15:54Yeah, I think I've got it.
15:56Yeah.
15:57Yeah.
15:59Now we've got a time advantage.
16:01And I wanted to make sure that me and Josh, we both see the symbol and the associated symbol
16:05with it.
16:05Yeah, that's good.
16:06Let's go.
16:07Okay.
16:11Got it.
16:13Got it.
16:14Go.
16:15I see the symbol straight away.
16:17So we made up loads of time.
16:29Players, one final task.
16:32Untie the knots to retrieve the bag of symbols.
16:39What the hell?
16:41Untying ropes.
16:42Okay.
16:42I'm just going to...
16:43You've got this.
16:44I kind of just left Josh to that one, you know.
16:46He's very quick on the ball, so I kind of just stood out of his way and let him get
16:49on
16:49with that.
16:51Yeah.
16:53Oh, shit.
16:55Here we go.
16:56Come on.
16:56Notice behind me, Darren and Judy.
16:58I'm going to let you do it.
17:02We're back in the game.
17:03We can do this.
17:05Hold on.
17:05Hold on.
17:05Hold on.
17:08Darren was great.
17:10He noticed that you just had to pull out one of the ropes and that untangled everything.
17:16Maybe a little bit faster.
17:18We was catching up all the time.
17:21Come on.
17:21Come on.
17:23Oh, shit.
17:25You've got to untie it.
17:25Untie it.
17:26Untie it.
17:26All right.
17:27Open it up quick.
17:29Put the chips out, dash them on the floor.
17:31The adrenaline was just going through me.
17:32I wasn't allowing any sort of distraction to get in the way.
17:37Come on.
17:38Oh, it's in my eye.
17:41Right, Sean.
17:45Here, here, here, here.
17:49Come on.
17:50Let's go.
17:52We were fighting for the win.
17:54I am a very, very competitive person.
17:57Gloves off.
17:58Right to the end.
18:00So it's this one.
18:02All right.
18:03Come on.
18:04Let's go.
18:05As we headed out of mine, we managed to get there before the yellow team.
18:10At this point, with the other team being not that much ahead.
18:15So that one's that.
18:15You go, go, go.
18:16If they got it wrong, we still had a good chance of winning.
18:20That one.
18:21That one.
18:22I had a really good idea of what the three symbols were.
18:25That one's that.
18:26That one.
18:28No.
18:29No, this one.
18:33Great, whoo.
18:35Ahh.
18:37They had obviously put their symbols in, and they had matched.
18:42I'm over the moon that we won.
18:44Oh.
18:46Well done.
18:47Yeah, well smashed it.
18:49Well done, guys.
18:51Well done, mate.
18:56I had the right hump.
19:00I just really wanted to win.
19:03I needed to win.
19:10Do you think that you got any useful clues from that?
19:14Yeah.
19:15Like what?
19:16Well, definitely the Mona Lisa.
19:18At the moment, my biggest clue is the Mona Lisa.
19:24It was posted on the wall.
19:26It said, come in soon on it.
19:29You were obviously in some sort of sandstone mine.
19:34It was a bit sort of catacomb-y.
19:37Might have something to do with the Da Vinci Code.
19:39We often go to Paris and there's some catacombs there.
19:43And the one that you said, the Kelly L.
19:46I don't know what that could mean, to be honest.
19:48We can have a bit of a soak on that.
19:50I think we're going towards France or probably in France already.
19:54Might dip into another country before we come up, but I'm not sure.
19:59Look, we've got more than we had for them when we come here.
20:03Yeah.
20:03No.
20:03I don't know.
20:08I'm shaking.
20:10I hope this means something.
20:12Hmm.
20:14Ooh.
20:15What is it?
20:18Formula One car.
20:20Huh?
20:21Ferrari.
20:22Ferrari.
20:23Is it Ferrari Italian?
20:23Yeah.
20:25But I don't think we're still in Italy.
20:27No, I agree.
20:28Oh, there's a racing track.
20:30The Ricard one in France.
20:32Interesting.
20:33What else did we see inside?
20:35There was Mona Lisa that said, she's got company.
20:37Playing cards.
20:39Yeah.
20:39Playing cards.
20:41The first helmet said, Kelly, Elle, Grace and Leon.
20:47On the helmets, I saw some names.
20:50I'm still trying to figure out what they really mean,
20:52but I'm sure they have some sort of meaning.
20:54Maybe famous people.
20:57And wash your hands with soap.
20:58Wash your hands with soap.
20:59What does that mean?
21:01There was like a red soap.
21:03And it said, something about Ma said.
21:07I think we just keep that.
21:08Yeah.
21:09Yeah, honestly.
21:10Yeah.
21:11They were going to tell us.
21:12Yeah.
21:14Judith and Darren lost.
21:15So, judging by how the game's going,
21:17it hasn't really worked out too well for them.
21:18They should be pretty worried.
21:26I'm just concerned about how confident they're both getting.
21:33I'd even go as far as saying a bit patronising.
21:35Yeah, that's it.
21:37It's going that way.
21:39And I'm going to say it now.
21:41Nothing will please me more
21:42than just waving one of them out after the mat room.
21:46I've said it.
21:53As Destination X draws closer, so does the moment one player will be leaving the X-Bus.
22:10How did you find that?
22:15Friends.
22:19There is a bit of a mood change.
22:20And I just felt like it was sort of rubbing our noses in it a little bit.
22:26And I didn't like it.
22:28Was you guys' clue just a clue?
22:33Or...
22:34Yeah, that was a clue.
22:37I have helped Darren quite a bit.
22:39I can't really take his word anymore, so I'm sure as hell won't be helping him.
22:43It's part of the game, isn't it, really?
22:46Like a physical clue?
22:50I'm just going to...
22:51You don't have to tell us, I'm just like...
22:55It was a clue.
22:57Yeah.
22:59I'm fully engulfed in the game, even dreaming about the game.
23:03So, you know, naturally, I'm going to try and protect myself, self-defence.
23:17Josh and Saskia.
23:20As the winners of today's challenge, it's only right that you receive a special treat.
23:25Please head to the VIP room.
23:28Ooh!
23:31She's excited.
23:35I'm actually excited.
23:37I don't know what to expect.
23:39What's in here?
23:41Oh, my God!
23:43What the hell?
23:48This is so weird.
23:50Cheers.
23:52I can't believe this room is this.
23:54Yeah, I've been there before, actually, so it's my first time.
23:59Me and Saskia, obviously, we've been allies for a while now.
24:03We make a good team.
24:05But I know that she wants to win this just as bad as I do,
24:09so it's going to be an interesting couple of days, I reckon.
24:13Fight to the end.
24:16How are you feeling?
24:17Good, I think, yeah.
24:19Yeah?
24:19What about you?
24:20Yeah, I'm feeling good.
24:21I'm feeling good.
24:23We're getting close to the end now.
24:25Mm.
24:31I'm going to have to have that conversation soon, I think.
24:33Mm.
24:34Which I'm dreading.
24:35Yeah.
24:36I'm dreading it.
24:39Oh, God!
24:43Oh!
24:45I don't know what to do.
24:47The possibility of going against Josh is difficult.
24:53I think he'd understand.
24:55But, I don't know, I just feel so guilty.
24:58I haven't even done anything and I feel guilty.
25:01What do you reckon?
25:05No hard feelings, though?
25:07No hard feelings.
25:09We're definitely getting closer, much closer to the end,
25:11and I feel like we've made a very good team so far.
25:15Mm.
25:16Yeah, I've been thinking about it quite a lot.
25:18For once, I have not much to say.
25:21Really? Yeah.
25:24Watching him today and seeing how great he was in the physical challenge,
25:28I was like, OK, so my biggest alliance in this
25:32is about to become my biggest threat,
25:34so I think I need to get ahead of the game
25:36and give myself the best chance possible
25:38before it's too late.
25:41I mean, it's getting to the point now where hopefully
25:43it's going to be a straight fight, one-on-one.
25:45Yeah.
25:46That would be the ideal situation.
25:47Like a proper individual game.
25:48Yeah.
25:48Yeah.
25:49And then may the best man or woman win at that point.
25:55Cheers, hon.
25:56Cheers to getting this far
25:57and cheers to have an alliance on team.
26:07We've barely had any clues.
26:10We've already.
26:11It's on her picture.
26:12See you soon.
26:14I'm late, yeah.
26:15Yeah.
26:17Since...
26:17Yeah.
26:18I'm just feeling like we might be going to...
26:21What's the museum?
26:25Yeah.
26:27Yeah.
26:27I'm sure when I'd have it, you go,
26:28there was like a catacombs.
26:30I'm from the...
26:32Yeah.
26:34It's Kenny, Kenny.
26:36I have even forgotten it already.
26:38It didn't make...
26:40any sense.
26:42Because of the clues today.
26:46I know Mona Lisa, Kelly L, Louvre in Paris.
26:51I sort of think there's a big French connection at the moment.
26:55They've always gone well, Charles.
26:57Don't ever think he's finished.
27:10With only one challenge under their belts,
27:12who does and who doesn't have enough information to guess where they are?
27:17Do you think you've seen enough to work it out?
27:19Follow the link to play along.
27:23She's got company.
27:25Playing cards.
27:29This is, after all, the semi-final.
27:32So the players can expect a few bumps in the road ahead.
27:38Right.
27:39We're gonna name today...
27:42Armageddon.
27:43Mm-hmm.
27:44Armageddon?
27:45Yes.
27:46It's gonna be Armageddon for someone, innit?
27:48Mm-hmm.
27:51What is this?
27:52Oh, shit.
27:54Oh.
27:55Oh, no.
27:57Oh, God.
27:58Oh, no.
28:02Got to need the toilet.
28:17Players.
28:19Yes.
28:20I thought I'd come along in person to deliver some news.
28:29You are just one map room away from the final.
28:33Oh, my God.
28:36And that map room is happening right now.
28:39What?
28:39Oh, my God.
28:42Oh, my God.
28:42Where will be today's Destination X?
28:45That's for you to figure out.
28:47That's mad.
28:53A surprise map room.
28:55Absolutely thrown the spanner in the works.
28:57I'm not confident at all.
29:00Where I think it is, I don't know if it is or not.
29:04It's a bit of a crash-bang wallop.
29:07Players.
29:09Remember?
29:10You, as individuals, are playing for £100,000.
29:16It's what we all dream of, eh?
29:20My mind is scrambled, and I'm never really confident in the map room.
29:25I really don't know where we are.
29:28Oh, there's literally a one in four chance of me leaving the bus.
29:32It's a lot of pressure.
29:33I would be so gutted if I was eliminated right now.
29:39Good luck.
29:47You can play along, too, by marking your own X on the map.
29:52You have two minutes.
29:58Oh!
30:09All right.
30:11I think we're in France.
30:13I was definitely hoping to get some more clues,
30:15or at least speak to Judith a bit.
30:19One of the clues was the Mona Lisa.
30:25Yeah, I don't really know.
30:27Darren and I had a discussion yesterday,
30:29and we were pretty set on it being Paris.
30:34But...
30:35I am torn.
30:39It was really, really sunny,
30:41so I'm kind of then leaning towards the south of France.
30:45It could be Monaco.
30:48I think based on the actual challenge itself
30:50and the ultimate clue of the F1 car,
30:53instantly I thought, Monaco.
30:57OK.
31:00Judging by the Formula One clue,
31:03I am going to Monaco.
31:07Although...
31:10Oh, no.
31:12Right, it's not very good if I can't find it.
31:16Oh, thank God.
31:19Monaco, Grand Prix, finish line confirmed.
31:24Once he won in the challenge yesterday,
31:25it was very useful.
31:27The actual slots, cards on the floor, the F1 car.
31:35Should I just go for Marseille?
31:37No, I'm not kidding.
31:44Oh, dear.
31:44Come on, Lou.
31:46Let's jump out.
31:48Should imagine it's...
31:50somewhere near the centre of Paris.
31:56Go, dear.
32:01With Darren opting for Paris,
32:04Josh and Saskia in Monaco,
32:06and Judith near Marseille,
32:08there are nearly 700 kilometres separating the players' exes.
32:12How are you feeling?
32:13I just had to...
32:15Messy, isn't it?
32:16I just had to...
32:19It's too different.
32:21My plan's not right.
32:31Aaron.
32:35Saskia.
32:37Judith.
32:40And Josh.
32:45We're your exes are all locked down.
32:48I have...
32:50some more news for you.
32:55One of you...
32:56will be leaving the X-Bus.
33:02But not yet.
33:05Oh, that's a twist.
33:07All will be revealed very shortly in the next challenge,
33:11where your ex might not stay where you have placed it.
33:16It's all still to play for.
33:30The twists and turns are just like,
33:32well...
33:33I don't know where the next one's coming from.
33:47I feel...
33:50like I messed that up.
33:53I'm sure you haven't.
33:55I think I...
33:56It's a big old place.
33:58Yeah.
33:59Friends.
34:00Yeah, no.
34:01Paris.
34:07Did you go in Paris?
34:09No.
34:11You didn't go in Paris.
34:18Where did you go?
34:20I went south, because it was hot.
34:24Why is this the first bird of this day?
34:27What do you...
34:28What do you mean all this?
34:32I didn't know this was going to happen.
34:37Judith...
34:39I think this is a major play on your part.
34:42You can think that if you want, Darren.
34:47Judith says that she did do it on purpose.
34:52And I can't really see why she would tuck me up.
34:55But I'm on the back foot.
34:58And now I need to really, really have it.
35:03Last chance to learn. Now or never, baby.
35:05If you have the option to move someone closer or further, what are you doing?
35:10Judith.
35:11Huh?
35:12Judith.
35:13Further?
35:14Yeah, why not?
35:16Let's hope we get the option.
35:19Is it going to be easy now?
35:23Judith raised concerns about Josh.
35:25I don't know if that was gameplay to get into my head or out of genuine concern.
35:31I don't know. Not too sure.
35:33But half of me knows that Josh could turn at any point.
35:38And is he telling the truth?
35:40I'm just trying to lead with my own head, trust my own gut.
35:44But it is just so difficult.
35:52So, you know, to take someone out.
36:02Oh, I'd be great if I could get him here at this point.
36:06He's chosen every time.
36:09He's been the reason that we're challenging.
36:13I do think Darren and I should really stick together.
36:17And I think having an alliance will help me get to the final.
36:21But I definitely feel like Josh is the biggest threat here.
36:27So, the key thing for me at this stage is to get Josh out.
36:32But we need Saskia onside.
36:43How are you feeling about these two?
36:48Well, I know what I'd do if I could take someone out.
36:53I know where it would be.
36:54It would be the strongest player.
36:56Because then they'd give me the best chance.
36:59Which is?
37:01Josh.
37:05I think I've started to realise that.
37:08Well, we're in a game now for 100K.
37:11Mm-hm.
37:12It's a four-way thing.
37:13As soon as it's going to be three.
37:17You're right.
37:20You are right, Dazzy.
37:22My head's just spiralling.
37:25Judith and Darren have both raised their concerns about Josh as a threat.
37:28But when I have to make big decisions, I definitely can't make them quickly.
37:33So, I need to put my big girl pants on and make some hard decisions.
37:39I've no doubt that when push comes to shove, old Joshy boy will be slung under the bus and chewed
37:47up with the exhaust on the way out.
37:49But she's got to be honest with herself first.
37:57Players.
37:59You may have already placed your X's, but this is the semi-final and nothing at this point is certain.
38:06It's now challenge time.
38:08Yes.
38:13You know the drill.
38:16X goggles on and off the X bus.
38:19Let's go.
38:20Oh, man.
38:31Has it just got hotter?
38:36Oh, wow.
38:38Oh, my God.
38:40Oh, wow.
38:46We are stood outside some Star Wars-y looking building.
38:52I am starting to panic a bit because not only is it obviously not in Paris.
38:58You can't even see a city and you can see for miles.
39:01So, I am absolutely way off the mark.
39:06Very funky looking building, isn't it?
39:08I wonder what that is.
39:10I've never been to Marseille.
39:11I don't know what Marseille looks like.
39:13And we're in this mountainous area.
39:15I'm definitely concerned about where I am.
39:25What better place for a game of observation than an observatory?
39:31Let me come down and I'll tell you more.
39:35Whatever's about to happen is going to decide the final three.
39:39And, yeah, pretty exciting, actually.
39:42I can pretty much taste the final three at this point.
39:44I can almost touch it.
39:59You have all already placed your exes on where you think your penultimate destination is.
40:06That's done.
40:07Who's feeling confident in their decision and who's feeling worried?
40:15Well, these distances are not set in stone.
40:21If you're beginning to question your position, you now have the chance to change your ex and your future to
40:29get yourself into the all-important final.
40:35And within touching distance of the £100,000 prize.
40:40I think whoever wins this is going to have a huge advantage.
40:44But today has been, like, my worst day here.
40:47I'm emotionally drained, but I know what I need to do to win.
40:52Here's how it's going to work.
40:54It's a stick or twist challenge.
40:57One at a time, I'll call you into the observatory where you'll see close-up images of various landmarks and
41:05celebrities.
41:07Each image is worth a set number of kilometers.
41:12You'll be asked before each image if you want to stick or twist.
41:16If you can correctly guess the image as it zooms out and in the allotted time, you will then bank
41:22those kilometers.
41:25The amount that you win will give you the power to move your ex closer towards destination X or impact
41:34someone else by moving their ex in a straight line further away.
41:41Fail to answer correctly within the time and all your kilometers will be lost.
41:48I'm not confident where I've got my ex, so this could be an absolute massive lifeline for me.
41:55If I don't move my ex, and if I could, with Judith, pull our mileage, then you could move someone
42:02else double the distance away.
42:04Will it pay to be cautious? Or will you gamble on one last roll of the dice?
42:11This challenge opens everything up. Anyone could go home. Nobody's safe.
42:18Somebody will be leaving after this challenge.
42:24I know who my threat is and...
42:27Yeah, I think I just need to get over any sort of alliance that I've made now and keep my
42:33eyes on the pros.
42:36Josh, you're up first.
42:39Let's begin.
42:42Good luck.
42:44Good luck, mate.
42:45See ya.
43:06Josh, welcome to The Observe.
43:09I feel like if I was to get an advantage from winning the challenge today, I'll definitely be using it
43:14on Judith.
43:15She's a big threat.
43:17Sort of self-defence, I feel like she's coming for me, so I hope I can get to her before
43:20she gets to me.
43:22You ready to play?
43:23Yes, I'm ready to play.
43:25OK.
43:25You have ten seconds.
43:27Three images in all.
43:30This first one is worth 50 kilometres.
43:33Good luck.
43:34Your first image, you've got ten seconds.
43:43The Louvre?
43:44It is the Louvre.
43:45Well done.
43:4650 kilometres.
43:48Now then, you can stick with that or you can twist.
43:51The next one is worth 100 kilometres.
43:55OK?
43:55If you twist and you get the next one wrong, you'll lose the 50 kilometres.
43:59Do you want to stick or twist?
44:02I'll twist.
44:03You're going to twist.
44:04Yes, please.
44:05Image number two.
44:13Oh, Lewis Hamilton.
44:15Is the right answer.
44:17OK.
44:17You now have 150 in total.
44:21Again, I have to ask you, do you want to stick with that or do you want to twist?
44:24And if you do choose to twist and you get it wrong, you'll lose the kilometres.
44:31Oh, good.
44:33Yeah, go on.
44:34You're going to do it?
44:34I'll do it.
44:35It's going to twist.
44:36OK.
44:38For 150, and to take your total to 300 kilometres, here's image number three.
44:50Uh, Divine?
44:52Is that the name of Divine?
44:52Kira Divine?
44:53I have no idea who that is.
44:59Penelope Cruz?
45:01No idea.
45:04I got too confident.
45:05I should have twisted again because I had no idea who that lady was.
45:09Just took a stab in the dark, really.
45:11But like an idiot.
45:14I'm trying to keep myself confident, but it's quite hard to do that.
45:18Your ex is going to stay where it was.
45:20I suppose now you've just got to hope that nobody else moves yours.
45:24Cheers. Thank you.
45:38Oh, goodness.
45:42Saskia, you ready for your first picture?
45:45I think so, yeah.
45:48I think in order to win this game, any sort of emotional guilt kind of needs to just get out
45:53of the way.
45:54So I'm just trying to get back in the game headspace.
45:57I need to just trust and believe in myself and absolutely smash it, whatever comes my way.
46:05Wait, are we doing it or not?
46:06Of course.
46:07Seriously?
46:08I promise.
46:08I won't go back on it, you know that.
46:10Yeah.
46:11Good luck.
46:12Yeah, thanks.
46:13You too.
46:15Armageddon it is.
46:16No more, Mr. Nice Dezza.
46:19I need to win.
46:21And I need to win now.
46:24I really, really, really hope that Darren sticks to our plan, our alliance, because literally if two people use their
46:36advantage on one person, that's enough to send somebody home.
46:41Darren, come and join me in the darkness. Judith.
46:45Hello.
46:46Welcome to my man cave.
46:51Now this one is worth 50 kilometres.
46:56OK?
46:56OK.
46:58Are you out of the tower?
47:00No.
47:02The Louvre.
47:03The Louvre.
47:05Oh, the Louvre.
47:08You got there just in time.
47:10Lydia.
47:11Well done.
47:11Now, you've got 50 kilometres.
47:15OK?
47:16You can stick with that, or you can twist.
47:18The next one is worth 100 kilometres.
47:22I'll twist.
47:23You're gonna twist?
47:24Yeah.
47:25In for a penny, Rob.
47:27Exactly.
47:28For 100 kilometres, image number two.
47:34Oh, goodness.
47:36Lewis Hamilton.
47:37Yes.
47:38Lewis Hamilton.
47:39Oh, dear.
47:41Lewis Hamilton.
47:42Is the right answer.
47:45Stick or twist.
47:47Let's do it.
47:48All right.
47:49I just want to collect as many kilometres as I possibly can in this game.
47:55So I'm just gonna try and go all the way.
47:58Because I'll use it to take Josh out.
48:04I've got to go for it.
48:05I'm gonna go for it.
48:07Good.
48:07My whole future in the game hinges on both myself and Judith doing well, and Judith sticking
48:15to the deal.
48:16Otherwise, it's either a desert.
48:21I think I'll play one more time.
48:22You're gonna play?
48:23Yeah.
48:23You're gonna twist.
48:24Yeah.
48:24All right.
48:25If you get it wrong, you'll lose everything you have so far in this challenge.
48:29Do you understand that?
48:29I understand.
48:30Okay.
48:31Okay.
48:32Okay.
48:33I like to play things on the safe side when I am in the real world.
48:36I definitely don't like to gamble.
48:38But we would be banking kilometres and ugly kilometres because there's no playing it safe.
48:43I just want it so bad.
48:44And it's definitely now an individual game.
48:48So, game on and may the best player win.
49:08If you want to move your ex, you have two minutes before it's revealed who will exit
49:13the bus and who continues to play for the £100,000 prize.
49:25We have our finalists and there's nothing any of them can do about it.
49:33How did that challenge go for everyone?
49:36Fantastic.
49:37Best one I've ever done.
49:48I've known from the start that this probably isn't going to be a happy ending.
49:53You've definitely got to expect the unexpected.
49:58Anyone can leave and it literally comes down to KM.
50:03It is definitely anyone's game at this point.
50:16It's no time.
50:18It is.
50:3613 players started on this incredible journey.
50:44One by one, you saw them all off.
50:48Now, just four of you remain, but only three of you will be heading into the grand final,
50:56having played the game of their lives.
51:02Sadly for one of you, the journey ends now.
51:08As a result of the observatory game, in no particular order,
51:12three players whose exes closest to where we are and are going to the final are...
51:28Saskia, congratulations.
51:30Thanks, Rob.
51:35Judith.
51:40Congratulations.
51:50So, Josh, Darren, there's only one place left in the final.
51:58The last finalist is...
52:12Josh.
52:20Penelope Cruz.
52:22I'm so sorry.
52:23Damn.
52:25Your ex stays where it is.
52:28I'm coming.
52:33Darren, this is hard.
52:35I'm sorry.
52:37But I'm afraid for you, this is your final destination.
52:51Well done, guys.
52:53All right, listen.
52:56Come on, just have a cuddle.
53:01Don't be silly.
53:06Judith, well done.
53:10Well done.
53:12Everyone.
53:17Sorry.
53:32Well done, Darren.
53:33No, I'm not going to... I'm not going to do it.
53:37Listen, it's been...
53:45It's been a privilege.
53:47It really is to get to know you all.
53:55Jackie P, here I come.
54:13Oh, my God.
54:16Monaco.
54:20What a view.
54:22Absolutely stunning.
54:25Nowhere near where I put my ex.
54:27The Principality of Monaco is the jewel of the French Riviera.
54:32Home to over 12,000 millionaires, 200 super yachts,
54:37the most glamorous Formula One event on the racing calendar, and the world-famous Casino de Monte Carlo, where fortunes
54:47are won and sadly lost.
54:52The reason I got it so wrong is because I weren't really paying as much attention as I should have
54:58been.
54:59So, yeah, I should have picked up more clues, but perhaps that's why I'm standing here.
55:04The Mona Lisa was the only one that really sort of stuck in my mind.
55:08That's obviously in Paris, so I had nothing else to go with.
55:13It's a bit hard to take in, actually standing in this incredible Principality of Monaco.
55:21I've had a great experience. I'm pleased I didn't stab anyone in the back. I can hold my head up,
55:26aye.
55:30Setting off from Pisa, the players travelled along the stunning Italian Riviera into France for their first challenge
55:37at the former ochre mine's Les Mines de Briou, in the Lubron National Park, Provence.
55:44Then headed south to the Côte d'Azur Observatoire in Nice, before crossing the border into Monaco.
55:54So, did you spot all the clues to Monaco?
55:57I left a treasure trove in the mine challenge.
56:00The image of the Mona Lisa with the message,
56:03She's got company, misdirected Darren to the Louvre in Paris.
56:07But if you take Mona and add the shortened version of Company, Côte,
56:12it leads you directly to Monaco.
56:15There were five named helmets.
56:17One was Grace and another Kelly, in reference to the movie star Grace Kelly,
56:22who married Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
56:27There were four playing cards in the dust.
56:30These were a nod to the Principality's world-famous Casino de Monte Carlo.
56:35But the final clue at the mines was a toy racing car, which Josh and Saskia won.
56:40And in the observatory...
56:41Do you want a stick or twist?
56:43I'll twist.
56:45The stick or twist game was a nod to Monaco's Casino heritage.
56:50And there were more motor racing clues.
56:52A picture of the racing driver Lewis Hamilton,
56:55a building level sign that indicated they were on floor F1.
57:00All of which pointed towards one of the most famous Grand Prix tracks, Monaco.
57:07And the last clue was the camera sign in the observatory, which was an anagram of Monte Carlo.
57:14It was all there, just waiting to be discovered.
57:18Well, there's certainly worse places I could have been dropped off at.
57:24Next time, the race is on.
57:28First person to find me will walk away with £100,000.
57:34Everything is on the line.
57:36I've only got one shot and I'm going to take it.
57:38To become crowned the winner...
57:40I am capable of winning this.
57:43People underestimate me.
57:45...of Destination X.
57:47May the best player win.
