Counsel for 18 former Marines ensures payment of bail for perjury  Lawyer Levi Baligod, counsel for the 18 former Marines who blew the whistle against top government officials in the flood control scam, appeared before the Las Pinas Regional Trial Court after his clients were arrested for failing to post bail on perjury charges on Aug. 7, 2026. Baligod rushed to the Las Pinas RTC to show proof of payment and said there was a delay in transmission of online payments, resulting in the late processing of bail. They had only until noon to clear the issue as courts were on half-day on Saturdays.
