00:00Deuce. Another easy one for me, playmaking. He's essentially a 3-and-D point guard. Deuce is playing for a
00:08new contract.
00:09Deuce is trying to get a legitimate deal, whether it's staying in New York or somewhere else where he could
00:16potentially have a bigger role.
00:17And if he's going to have a bigger role, he's going to have to do a little bit more with
00:20the ball in terms of proving that he's a playmaker
00:22and he's not just a 3-and-D guard who is 6'2", which teams may look at that and
00:28be like, I'd rather get a 3-and-D guard or a 3-and-D wing who is 6'6",
00:32or 6'7", or 6'8",
00:33as opposed to somebody who's 6'2", even though he's extremely complimentary and an on-off monster, as we've talked
00:38about.
00:39So you're looking at, from your standpoint, just to be clear, you're looking at, okay, if this is the off
00:44-season improvement he has, this makes him more valuable.
00:47Yes.
00:47I got it.
00:48Yes, because then, I mean, he is undoubtedly your 6' man, if that's the case.
00:54He probably is already, but there are going to be times, as we saw in the playoffs, where, hey, you
00:59may only play 14 or 16 minutes tonight if you just don't have it going.
01:03And if your defense is just not up to the level that you typically expect.
01:08In terms of assist percentage, last year he was at 13.5, the league average is 16.2.
01:14That's clearly the next step for me.
01:16I like that.
01:16It's just the playmaking.
01:18I like that.
01:18I like that.
