00:00There is a lot of stuff going on here in Oregon, and I thought I'd give you guys some updates.
00:04So, over 140 active wildfires, and this is from July 24th, we've actually had almost 2 million acres burned across
00:15Oregon.
00:17And it's just crazy out here, to be honest.
00:23Evidently, the Eugene Airport evacuated a concourse and pushed a plane away from the building after air traffic controllers announced
00:31an emergency board on board the plane Thursday at the airport.
00:36They said it was Delta Flight 5805 and was scheduled to depart for Seattle.
00:41The situation happened after a port of the fire in the back end of the plane, as you can see.
00:49And this one is a body was discovered inside a storm drain this morning in Eugene.
00:57It is an ongoing investigation.
01:00It was over by Dahlia Lane and Lantana Avenue.
01:06Looks like it was discovered around 5.48 a.m.
01:10And as of now, there is still no updates as to the identifying information about who the person was or
01:20anything else.
01:21But, yeah.
01:23Lastly here, we're talking about the air quality.
01:26So, the air quality in Eugene is the fourth worst in the state right now.
01:32Windshift has carried all of the wildfire smoke into the area, and we are having a very, very bad AQI,
01:39as you can see.
01:40Um, last night there was an article that posted that it was fourth worst in the state.
01:46So, for those of you who, um, need help and resources, there is a cooling center that's been opened in
01:53Lane County.
01:54And this is to help people that are sensitive to air quality wear your masks and be aware that it
02:01is a very unhealthy level.
02:03It has been sending people to the hospital in our area.
02:06So, please be aware of this and stay inside if possible.
