00:00We're going to start out with this one. Mitch McConnell was apparently discharged today, says
00:04August the 5th, he was discharged from the rehabilitation center 53 days after having been
00:09entered. Said here, on advice of my doctors, I'll maintain an intensive regimen of physical therapy
00:15from home during the state work period, and I'll continue to engage with senior staff
00:19and colleagues on important Senate matters. So, evidently McConnell's back after
00:28almost three months, well, almost two months here of having been hospitalized and
00:37is going to continue to try to engage with Senate matters from home as he, you know,
00:45continues through physical therapy. That brings me to the new EO from 47. He says that he is going to
00:54restrict birthright citizenship. Apparently, he said, we had a very fortunate decision of the
01:01Supreme Court concerning birthright. It was a close, a very, very unfortunate decision, so we are making
01:07adjustments because it's very unfair. And so he signed this new executive order to limit birthright
01:15citizenship and target what he's calling birth tourism. So this one here, um, apparently Doge's watchdog
01:25wall of receipts listing billions said it was riddled with inaccuracies and unsubstantiated claims.
01:34So it was either incorrect or lacked evidence according to the GAO. Um, and you can see the different
01:47amounts of money that they claimed that they were saving that later, according to the GAO were not
01:52true. Um, they were just terminated contracts with no actual supporting evidence for what they were
02:00claiming. Surprise, surprise.
