00:06Oh, rate payers and land alliance, I thought you said dandelions, dandelions, dandelions, too.
00:21Good morning. Good morning. Good morning, Mary Adams.
00:25He's not a mayor anymore.
00:30And as I look around the room to see the signs, you clearly have shared your thoughts around this issue.
00:45And one of my colleagues sent me a post that says a high-profile person is coming to your town.
00:58And I said, who's that?
01:01Let me tell you something.
01:03My name is Eric Adams.
01:06I grew up dyslexic.
01:18I grew up in a small area in Queens, young man, dyslexic.
01:30I'm not high-profile.
01:33I'm a 22-year police veteran.
01:42I wore a bulletproof vest for 22 years, protecting children and families.
01:51And so here's what we want to do.
01:56We want to have an opportunity.
01:59We want to have an opportunity to hear your questions.
02:06We are going to remain quiet when you ask a question, and we would like that same when we respond
02:16to a question.
02:18We want to engage in not a monologue, but a dialogue.
02:24We want you to hear our facts.
02:26How many times have you practiced this?
02:28We want to make sure that you, that your neighbors can hear from each other.
02:35We want to make sure that you are able to communicate.
02:48We are going to respectfully listen to your questions.
02:53We're not going to cut you off.
02:56We're not going to heckle you.
02:59We're not going to yell at you.
03:01We're going to allow you to say what your thoughts are and what your feelings are.
03:10We're not leaving until each one of your questions are heard.
03:15We know that we don't have to agree, but we don't have to be disagreeable.
03:23And I want to share, before I turn it over to Anton, I just want to share one story with
03:30you.
03:34My close friend, my close friend, my close friend, mother, passed away from breast cancer.
03:43And she was petrified over following the trajectory of her grandmother who died from breast cancer, following her mother.
03:59And she went to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
04:06And at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, they were able to use artificial intelligence to early identify her breast cancer.
04:20And the same happened when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
04:27The doctor told me, Eric, in a year, you're going to lose your sight.
04:32You're going to lose some fingers and toes.
04:35You're going to have to have surgery.
04:41Using my doctor, an AI, early diagnosis.
04:47And so when we start talking about, as one gentleman stated to me,
04:52when we start talking about, as you asked the question, sir,
04:56when we start talking about our hate of technology,
05:01when we start talking about it,
05:04we're not going to heckle each other.
05:07We're not going to heckle each other.
05:10When you talk, when you talk, I'm going to listen.
05:14We're not going to heckle each other.
05:16We're not going to heckle each other.
05:19When you talk, I'm going to listen.
05:23When you talk, I'm going to listen.
05:25We are not here to heckle each other. We're here to have a dialogue. When you talk, I'm going to
05:35listen. I'm going to listen when you talk.
05:47What we want to do is to show you that when we heard how other companies did not produce the
06:03right product, we said that we wanted to hear the concerns across the country.
06:09And we wanted to produce a product that you can look at and examine so that we know if we
06:19like it or not, if we like it or not, folks, data centers are going to be here.
06:25The question is, data centers are going to be in our country. Data centers won't be in our country, folks.
06:44What we must determine is what's the quality of the product in this country. Because if our data is not
06:54here, it would be somewhere else.
07:06So what I'm going to do is we're going to turn it over. We're going to turn it over to
07:13folks. Anyone can heckle, but not anybody can communicate.
07:21I'm going to turn it over to explain our project. Then we're going to open the floor. We're going to
07:32open the floor for your questions.
07:35And all I ask is, while your neighbor asks a question, let them ask the question so we can answer
07:43the question.
07:44That's what we, that is our ask. As your neighbor asks a question, give us the opportunity to answer the
07:53question that is presented by your neighbor.
07:56So again, I'm going to turn it over to Anton, who will explain the project. And then we're going to
08:05open the floor up and allow you to ask your question on the project. Okay? Anton.
08:13Thank you very much. Good morning, everyone.
08:17Good morning. Thanks for coming.
08:19Come on. We can say, even if we can say you're in your project, we can say you're in your
08:23project.
08:24Come on!
08:25Come on!
08:26Come on!
08:27Come on!
08:27Go ahead, John.
08:29Go ahead.
08:29Just let me quiet now. Let them talk, right?
08:31Just shut up.
08:33We're going to help?
08:33No, I'm going to help. I want to help.
08:35Look, I know that you have a lot of questions, so I will make it very, very brief, so we
08:39have more time to talk.
08:41Because the reason why we came here is to have this dialogue with you. I know that there's...
08:46Steal our water!
08:50Tell us who you are, you Russian! Tell us who you are, you Russian!
08:54If you want to play a test, go outside!
08:57Are you a citizen of the United States?
09:01Who gives a fuck if he's a United citizen or not?
09:05Are you a citizen of the United States?
09:06He's here to tell us about this shit.
09:08So shut the fuck up!
09:10Show up!
09:11Everybody speak!
09:13I can't speak!
09:14Yeah!
09:17Thank you, sir.
09:20Are you okay?
09:21No, I'm going to carry his ass out!
09:23I'll just spend two minutes to explain the project and the specifics of details, right?
09:28And then we'll just go to the questions.
09:30Oh my!
09:31Can't hear you!
09:32So, PNK is an engineering company.
09:35We are the industrial developer and the developer of the data center.
09:39What we want to do is to build the turkey infrastructure, and that is very important.
09:43And that actually makes us different to many other data center developers.
09:48Can you hear me well?
09:49Oh!
09:51Yes.
09:51Turn your mic up please!
09:54Right!
09:55Okay, so...
09:57Is it?
09:58Thank you!
10:00So once again, what we are trying to develop is the turnkey infrastructure for the data center.
10:07and it is important to notice that because that is different to some other developers are doing
10:13like just developing the land for example we're actually building the data center and it is very
10:18important for us to be a community member to be a good neighbor so this is why we want to
10:23have this
10:23dialogue with you okay so that's that's very i hope this is clear now this is an industrial zone
10:30we are not asking to rezone it it's already heavy industrial indeed we are proposing
10:36a clean safe and quiet solution how to use this land and i will ask the questions on the noise
10:41and
10:41everything else okay i see all the signs and thanks for putting it there um on the river
10:55that's a very good one we are not touching it right so there is no interaction with the water whatsoever
11:02there is a certain sign on the water consumption we are not consuming the water it's a closed
11:08loop system we are applying for we are applying for 10 000 gallons per day and that's it
11:20now before i just start the questions again what we are trying to do here is just to listen all
11:25your
11:25concerns hopefully answer some of them if we have some questions still to uh address and research
11:33then we'll come back to you we will have more conversations like this what i'm asking from you
11:38is just let's just let's have a civilized conversation
11:45so let's let's let's have a question
11:48oh we're gonna bring the we're gonna bring the mic to you
11:50yeah we're gonna bring the mic to you so just stand up if you have a question put your hand
11:54oh god don't give me don't give him the microphone
11:56one one one two this one this one is off one two one two what i suggest we do we
12:04focus on the project
12:05itself one two one two one one two oh by by focusing on the project itself we'd like to know
12:16who's
12:16running this operation and from what i understand you sir are not an american citizen you're russian
12:45you're going to be powering this plant with electricity by the dams part of it
12:52the other part of the propulsion is going to be natural gas supposedly but i understand that
12:58natural gas generators are not going to be available to start and you're going to be using diesel is
13:03that true no that's not true that's not true you're not going to be using diesel okay
13:10okay so the two questions was where we be using diesel the answer is no we will not be using
13:17diesel
13:20we're going to go to each one of you all you have to do is raise your hand and we're
13:42going to come to you
13:43you don't have to yell it out we're going to come to you we're here until it's finished
13:48we got to we have another another question here right here i'm gonna come to you hold on
13:56thank you thank you you're welcome uh so the last three years on record have been the hottest
14:02in the world ever recorded on the calendar average ai centers have created a six or a four to 16
14:11degree
14:11heat increase and up to six miles around them how are we going to stop that when it's already getting
14:1890 degrees pretty much every day almost 100 the uk is being destroyed by the people are dying and we're
14:26going to just put a key bubble right here so i would like to know a little bit more where
14:37this information
14:38is coming from because i don't really have this data
14:47i'd be happy to provide you with information loudon county which is
14:52is the largest data center area in the united states recorded a lower temperature in their air
15:07so loudon county was the coolest area in this so i just encourage everybody to get all sides of the
15:16story
15:17and we're going to be curious
15:22you're not you're not you're not going to hear your neighbor's question if it's about you ask the
15:28question we answer the question
15:33that was that was the sad yes young man
15:36oh
15:41also we need to understand that there are different technologies right there's a modern technology
15:45that we want to build and there is a new technology with water evaporation so to your point
15:50sorry i didn't catch your name correct yes the old data centers that used to evaporate water they were
16:00changing the environment around them we're going to do this
16:05we're going to if you have a question you raise your hand we're going to come to you
16:17this young man this young man this young man this young man it's not calling out it's raise your hand
16:24we
16:24come to you this young man i am all right my question is twofold first what is your connection
16:32to this data center pmk company and why are you a spokesperson for the company
16:41the second part of my question is how are you going to best act as a spokesperson given um
16:48connections and indictments and stuff and i know that that has been
16:57you're innocent until proven guilty and the indictment was dropped the doj dropped it
17:02i was wondering how you're going to best act as a spokesperson
17:06given the allegations whether true or untrue of corruption that's kind of what i'm wondering
17:13two questions you don't may answer why am i a spokesperson i this is what i'm clear on in our
17:22country and throughout our entire country we're going to need the technology of artificial intelligence
17:30in our country for health reasons for a number of reasons thank you can one of your neighbors for one
17:42of you who believe in the right for us to answer and have a dialogue can you please help us
17:48here
17:49we can't we're trying to have a dialogue and heckling is not a dialogue folks so i'm just trying the
17:56young
17:56man asked me a question and and i'm not avoiding questions we're answering your questions so there
18:02there are two answering your question directly young man when i realized what around health care around
18:11education around what ai is doing and what other countries are doing that is exceeding us i realized
18:19that we want to have data centers in our country so why can't we have it that is not harmful
18:26to our
18:26environment why can't we have it that is not going to be destructive and we when i sat down with
18:34p and k i said here are
18:36the things that i've heard around the country as the mayor and others that what people have with
18:42issues with data center poisoning the water the heat issues there's noise issues all of those issues so we
18:50created a product that answers the questions that people had concerns about that is why i joined p and k
18:58because i think it answers those questions now when you talk about is there a financial incentive what are you
19:05financial incentive yeah i'm i'm hired to be part of the team i'm hired to be part of the team
19:12to make sure we do this to go ahead and have these conversations you've answered and i don't want to
19:20separate what role i had as mayor and what i'm doing as p and k after this meeting you want
19:28to talk about
19:28that we can do that yeah of course thank you so much for your time mayor the next question yes
19:32ma'am
19:45my question is is have you built another data center somewhere in the country to these exact
19:51specifications with all the same systems in place and if so where is it
20:19we saw we saw we saw the problems of other
20:26data centers and we said how do we build a better product around closed loop so we don't as that
20:35one-time state so we don't dump water into your river how do we make sure we deal with noise
20:43mitigation
20:44how do we don't have trucks on the road we said let's look at if data centers are in america
20:51folks
20:51if data centers are in america if we don't have data centers here then our data would be held in
20:59places like china
21:07we said how do we build a better product that didn't make the mistakes of others
21:14we're going to come to you back also okay i got two things first of all i am carrie betcher
21:21i am the one
21:22that probably got most of you to come here so i need you all to do me a favor if
21:26all you want
21:27to do is shout and yell and protest please go outside to shout and yell and protest
21:34my question for you guys
21:38please tell me this is please tell me this you have already said you have not built one yet
21:42do you have your specifications i am well aware that technology does advance things do get better and
21:48we can make things better do you actually have technical documents out there that do show us
21:56what you're telling us yeah absolutely that's a good question thank you so yes absolutely we have a
22:01we have a concept that was reviewed documents absolutely yes we do have documents that's what i do
