03:57So we had a guest on who's a longtime buddy of mine, does a great job covering the Patriots.

04:04He is a beast, right?
04:05So Tom's on, and the whole time it's Grant and Danny, and I know him, but he doesn't
04:08know Danny.
04:09So he's on, and he keeps saying he's referencing Danny.
04:11But he said a couple times, you know, when you were in the league, I thought he was saying
04:15that.
04:16And I'm like, what is going on?
04:17We thought he was sort of talking about, you know, because Grant covered the NFL very close.
04:21He was on the beat for years.
04:22That's kind of what we thought he meant.
04:23In this conversation, he goes, and Danny as in, he goes, Danny as in Danny Connell.
04:29And I thought he was just saying Danny as in the name Danny.
04:32And I was like, yes, this is the former Florida State quarterback and, you know, college football
04:36analyst.
04:36He's like, oh my gosh.
04:38You know, I was so worried to say, I knew it was you, but I wasn't sure.
04:41And at that point it was like, we'd gone too far.
04:43And now he starts talking to him as if he's you.
04:45And so since then, I've just been doing the show with Danny.
04:48Yeah.
04:48So Danny, he referenced like three or four different times, like my time in the league, you know,
04:52like, you know what it's like because you were there in the locker room.
04:55And I'm like, I hate to break it to you, dude.
04:57I'm just a, just an unathletic stocky white.
04:59I have no NFL background, just a zilch.
05:02But it was too late.
05:03It was like going to dinner with like a couple and you forgot the husband's name and the check
05:08comes.
05:08Like you, it's too late now to correct him.
05:11Well, well now, Danny, did you at least like, were you nice, like amicable, like cordial,
05:17like well-spoken?
05:18Like, did you represent the name?
05:19Well, that's a great question.
05:20Or did Tom Curran hang up and be like, what an a-hole.

05:26You were definitely pleasant.
05:27He was pleasant, but I don't think it came off like former quarterback ball knower.
05:32So Curran right now is going, Canel's lost his fastball a little bit.

05:38You know what happens to me quite a bit, because coming out of high school, I was the exact
05:43same class as Danny Werfel, the former Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Florida.
05:47I played at Florida State against Danny Werfel.
05:50We're both Dannys.
05:51We're both kind of, you know, same style of play, pocket passers.
05:55I get confused at least two or three times a year.
05:59Somebody will recognize me and they'll say something like, hey, Danny Werfel, like go Gators
06:04or something like that.
06:05And if they do the go Gators thing, then I'm like a jerk.
06:07I'm like, you know, don't look me in the eyes.
06:09I'll say something, but I won't tell them I'm not Danny Werfel.
06:12You know, I kind of mess with them a little bit.
06:13If they're nice and they're not Gator fans, then I'll straighten them out.
06:16But it is kind of awkward sometimes.
06:18Like, what do you do?
06:19Because you don't, especially if you're on live, like you want to embarrass the guest.
06:23Like, I kind of like the way you handled it.
06:25Well, it was 20 minutes into the interview and before we missed the breadcrumbs.
06:29Like, because he's in New England, Danny, and he's breaking down.
06:33We just signed Stefan Diggs here in Washington.
06:34So that's why you get him on.
06:36And he's giving us great information, great nuggets.
06:38And there were breadcrumbs that I didn't pick up on.
06:40And then once he didn't laugh at the joke that, yeah, this is Danny Connell, I went, oh, sweet Christ,
06:46it's over.
06:47He now believes he just did an interview with Grant and Danny Connell.
06:51And I don't know what to do about it.
06:53I thought Danny should have understood it when he mentioned Westminster High School in Fort Lauderdale.
06:58I was like, that's pretty clear and obvious.

07:39Keelan Russell is a phenomenal athlete.
07:42I think he's a blend of what they saw with Jalen Milrow and Ty Simpson.
07:46He's an electric runner, but he's a really good passer, too.
