00:00I did sort of predict a BAFTA.
00:02Do you want to see my entourage now?
00:04Because it was broad daylight on a council estate, so I must have frightened a few people.
00:08I get a tiny version of Robert Downey Jr.
00:10Not so much Iron Man, maybe like Aluminium.
00:12Congratulations.
00:13Oh, you're so lovely.
00:15I obviously spoke to Danny and Ryan for season one and we didn't know, like I loved it.
00:21We didn't know it was going to be such the success that it was.
00:25I know.
00:26And Danny or BAFTA, like how amazing.
00:29So I just wanted to come and say congratulations.
00:31And then I was like, then I'll go and deal with this.
00:35It's a bit more important though.
00:38Ryan, did you know, like when you were writing it, when you were making that first season,
00:43that a BAFTA was even possible for like this series?
00:46No, I didn't know.
00:47And then at some point when we did the read through and I was like,
00:51when you first hear the person who you've written the part for doing the lines,
00:56when Danny first did it, I was like, oh, it's good.
00:59It's better.
01:00Oh, it's a lot better now.
01:02And then at some point through series one, I started to get a bit more cocky about it.
01:07I mean, I'm very anxious at the best of times, but then I did sort of put it to BAFTA.
01:13No, he did.
01:14He did.
01:15He told me when he first came up with the idea, me and you will be going to the BAFTA in three years.
01:20That's very cocky.
01:22And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:23It's validated now.
01:25It's validated.
01:26Has Danny been acting differently now that he's a BAFTA winner?
01:29Massive effort.
01:30I thought so.
01:31You want to see my entourage now?
01:33Can't get him through the door.
01:36No, always humble, always self-deprecating.
01:41I was just so glad the show got acknowledged as well.
01:44So proud of us all, you know what I mean?
01:46Yeah.
01:47It's great.
01:48It was amazing.
01:49It was an amazing night as well.
01:50Season two though, obviously very glad that it's back.
01:53With season one being such a success and so loved, have you kind of kept,
01:59because I haven't watched all of it yet, have you kind of kept it along the same vibe
02:02or have you switched it up in any way, like what is coming up in season two?
02:07There's a bit of a switch up in that when we come into series two,
02:11Danny's character, Lee, is like he's lost his mojo.
02:15He's lost his sort of, he's emasculated.
02:18He's a bit of like a poached egg of a man.
02:21I've never heard anyone describe like that but I love it.
02:26So episode one is about him getting his sort of, his pep back in his steps.
02:31Yeah.
02:32And you do it.
02:33I do it, yeah.
02:34I bring him back from the brink.
02:37Yeah, yeah.
02:38And then, so he roars back to life and end of episode one, I'm very excited for people to see it.
02:44So we've got this mad old moment when, it's a bit of a spoiler,
02:47but he comes back to life and there's a naked chase down a suburban street and yes,
02:54I was very nervous about pitching it to Danny but he was totally up for it.
02:57No.
02:58I feel like you're always game for that, right?
02:59No, you've got to be.
03:00Listen, it really works with the story.
03:03It's got to, you know, it was broad daylight on a council estate so I must have frightened a few people.
03:10But, you know, it's great.
03:11So I'm sort of running with a towel above me nut as a lasso chasing someone.
03:16It's ridiculous because it's missing the big stuff but it works.
03:19It's a great ending to the first album.
03:21And you set the tone for what this show was like in that first series.
03:23Yeah.
03:24So we expect, like, it's going to go all out.
03:27No.
03:28Oh yes.
03:29All out indeed.
03:30So much better this series.
03:31Spores up, baby.
03:32Yeah.
03:33Is there more dancing in series two?
03:34Less dancing I would say.
03:35Less dancing but there's a little bit of singing.
03:37There is a bit of singing, yeah.
03:38There's a bit of singing.
03:39Okay.
03:40Yeah.
03:41He really has.
03:42Well, you know.
03:43He's really good.
03:44I mean, you've got some pipes in you as well.
03:46There's a karaoke.
03:47There's a karaoke number that she loves to pull up.
03:52Not in the show.
03:53I just want to say this.
03:54What is it?
03:55What's your karaoke tune?
03:56No.
03:57So my classic karaoke tune, okay, is Bye Bye Miss American Pie.
04:00Oh, okay.
04:01Yep, yep, great.
04:02Now we, no, it's quite long.
04:04It's long.
04:05But I, basically, I saw someone perform it when I was about 11 and thought that is the greatest
04:12it's ever going to get.
04:13So I'll just work my whole life to be that good.
04:16That makes sense.
04:17He's banned me from, oh, there was a karaoke opportunity at the rap party and he said to
04:22me.
04:23Oh yeah.
04:24You are not allowed to perform.
04:25No, do a different number.
04:26No.
04:27But that one is an absolute dirge.
04:28It will kill it.
04:29It will kill it.
04:30Everyone's like, well, it's about time to head, doesn't it?
04:32But she's spent her life perfecting it.
04:34Yeah.
04:35I haven't perfected it yet, though.
04:37But you won't if he keeps stopping you.
04:38Correct.
04:39It's a tearjerker.
04:40Yeah.
04:41You need to nurture talent, so let Harriet do her thing.
04:45Let her live her journey.
04:47I'm curious, what kind of neighbours are you guys?
04:51We obviously even see in the trailer, Danny, you sitting out there on the sofa with the
04:57microphone shouting at your neighbours about their recycling and all that.
05:00Are you those, are you similar like that in any way?
05:03Would you like to sit outside my house in an old dressing gown?
05:08No, it's a great opening because it's a very different Lee.
05:13He's dealing with some trauma and he doesn't quite know how it sits with him.
05:20So yeah, he's just moping around, just irritating everyone.
05:24But he's also a character that wants to save the planet.
05:27So he's telling old Maureen to put the yoghurt pots in the right bin.
05:31Are you guys like that?
05:32Are you very, like, as neighbours?
05:34Are you like, can you do your part as well?
05:36I wouldn't dare.
05:37Just a big shout out to Steve and Lisa.
05:39Great neighbours.
05:41The best.
05:45Yeah, I know I'm easy going with the neighbours.
05:48Yeah, yeah.
05:49Don't come round, knock and get some sugar or milk.
05:51I've become a better neighbour.
05:53I was a bad neighbour, I think.
05:54Rubbish with all that stuff.
05:55And then I've become very good.
05:57But I'm trumped always by Johnny and Betty who live upstairs.
06:01Who put our bins.
06:03They select the bins that are full.
06:06And they put them lovely in a line every Sunday night for them.
06:11And so I've gone, oh, that's what people do.
06:14I'm learning.
06:15I'm still learning.
06:16Meanwhile, Johnny and Betty says,
06:17You never guess I've had to move their bins again.
06:19I've still done.
06:20I've had to literally go down and move the bins.
06:26Listen.
06:27I saw an ITN News talking about our gun and eggs.
06:29I'm always getting a bit wrong with the neighbours.
06:35I'm sure you're great.
06:37I'm sure you're all great.
06:38Listen, obviously in one of the episodes,
06:40Harriet, you get told you look like Deborah Meaden.
06:42Yes.
06:43So do you guys, obviously you're already famous.
06:46Like regular people, we get told that we look like certain celebrities.
06:50But have you guys ever been told that you look like anyone else?
06:53You get quite a lot, don't you?
06:54I get a tiny version of Robert Downey Jr.
06:57People are saying that quite a lot.
06:58I can see that.
06:59Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
07:01Oh my God.
07:03Yes.
07:04Not so much Iron Man.
07:05Maybe like Aluminium.
07:06No, but like a...
07:07Tin man.
07:08Tin foil man.
07:09I suppose with me or me Tash at the moment, Paul Chuckle, I'm getting around there.
07:14Oh my God.
07:15Yeah, that Tash is really...
07:17Tash is quite a distinct thing.
07:19Yeah.
07:20Yeah.
07:21I prefer Tom Selleck when I get that one.
07:23Yeah, lovely.
07:24I think he's got a little bit of Tom Selleck.
07:25I think he's got a little bit of Tom Selleck.
07:26Very much so.
07:27Yeah, you could do that.
07:28How about...
07:29Is it just definitely...
07:30No, I always thought I looked a bit like Vanessa Feltz.
07:34Vanessa Feltz.
07:35I don't...
07:36A young...
07:37A youngish...
07:38Slightly younger.
07:39Yeah.
07:40Or...
07:41No, I've never had one.
07:42I've never had one.
07:43So if you can think of one...
07:44Yeah, do you guys...
07:45It's quite a Tash.
07:46And then...
07:47Let your Tash go.
07:48And then it's Tom Selleck again, yeah.
07:50Okay.
07:51Yeah, no to be...
07:52Ryan, I know who's your thinking.
07:53You're like, who does...
07:54I was just thinking, who does she look like?
07:55Well, Gemma...
07:56Was it Gemma Collins?
07:57I mean, anyone sort of curvaceous and blonde, I feel like, they just sort of lump us all together.
08:00Yeah.
08:01Do you know what I mean?
08:02Yeah.
08:03Anyway, I really hope that Series 2 is like the flying success that Series 1 was.
08:08I'm really happy for you guys.
08:10Thank you so much.
08:12Hopefully there's a Series 3 and you put some more dancing in there as well.
08:15There might be.
08:16Fingers crossed.
08:17Yep.
08:18Fingers crossed.
08:19Good luck with it, guys.
08:20Lovely to see you all.
08:21Thank you so much.
08:22I hope it gets better.
08:24Yeah, gonna go.
08:25Go to the hospital now.
