00:13It is one of the largest peaceful annual gatherings in the world.
00:17People walk for days and sometimes weeks to honor a man whose sacrifice has inspired generations
00:23to stand for justice, truth, and human dignity.
00:27In the year 680 CE, on the plains of Karbala, Imam Hussain and a small group of his family members
00:35and companions faced the army of Umayyad ruler Yazid.
00:39Despite overwhelming odds, Imam Hussain refused to pledge allegiance to a ruler he believed
00:45had abandoned the principles of justice and morality.
00:48He knew the consequences of his decision, yet he chose principle of a personal safety.
00:54For Muslims, especially Shia Muslims, Karbala is not merely a historical event, it is a living moral lesson.
01:02Imam Hussain's stand teaches that faith is inseparable from justice, that power without morality is tyranny,
01:10and that every human being has a duty to oppose oppression while preserving their integrity and compassion.
01:17The message of Karbala has inspired people of many faiths and backgrounds.
01:21It is a reminder that silence in the face of injustice can allow suffering to continue.
01:27At the same time, Karbala also teaches restraint, patience, mercy, and respect for the sanctity of human life.
01:35These values challenge us to reject hatred and seek justice without losing our humanity.
01:40Today, the West Asia continues to experience war, political conflict, sanctions, and instability.
01:48The relationships between Iran, the United States, and the Israeli regime have been marked by decades of hostility,
01:55deep mistrust, and at last, military confrontations.
01:59From the perspective of Iranians,
02:01U.S. sanctions and military actions, as well as Israeli military operations directed at Iran or Iranian-linked targets,
02:08have caused significant hardship, loss of life, economic suffering, and damage to the country's security and developments.
02:15Many view these actions as unjust and contrary to international law and the rights of ordinary civilians.
02:23Yet, regardless of all political positions, one principle should remain universal.
02:29The suffering of innocent civilians should never be ignored or justified.
02:34International humanitarian law requires all parties to protect civilians and to minimize harm during conflict.
02:41The lesson of Imam Hussain is not to encourage endless conflict or revenge.
02:47Rather, it is to remind humanity that justice must never be sacrificed for power
02:52and that every nation and every leader should be judged by their commitment to truth, accountability, and respect for human
