00:01Hi, it's Alina, and today I'll share a story about an allergy to hyaluronic acid.
00:06The thing is, this girl once spent a long time being treated by a podologist,
00:10and it cost her a lot of money. She was trying to cure her onycolysis,
00:14which in fact turned out to be a result of an allergy.
00:17And now I'm showing you a recurrence of this allergy.
00:20That is, she came in with a coating that was about 10 days old,
00:24and it turned out that she had a lot of pain, itching,
00:28and the skin around her nails was also peeling.
00:30Now I'm showing you what it looks like, specifically under the coating.
00:34It's very important to be able to recognize this,
00:36and not think that it's just some kind of cuticle that suddenly grew out and is acting up,
00:41even though it looks very similar to a cuticle.
00:43But the thing is, in fact, the cuticle isn't really attached to the nail there.
00:48That is, it's actually separated.
00:50But this thin layer of skin, which is basically, yes, in principle, opterygium,
00:54but generally speaking, it shouldn't really be there, of course.
00:57There shouldn't be this kind of ragged edge, like what we ended up with.
01:01And today I'll show you how I removed these nails and prepared them for further restoration.
01:07And by the way, we successfully grew out and restored these nails in about 6 months,
01:11which I showed in one of my recent videos,
01:14where we covered them with a thin layer of base, a thin layer of collar,
01:18and a thin layer of top coat.
01:20That is, without leveling, without any highlights, and against all the rules.
01:25That is, not bringing it up to the cuticle, leaving a gap to prevent the product from contacting the skin.
01:31Well, now let's get back to how I work with nails like these.
01:35First, of course, we used an antiseptic, treated the skin and the nails themselves,
01:40and then proceeded to removal.
01:42For removal, I use a carbide bit with a green stripe, this kind of truncated cone shape.
01:48It's a really great bit, I love it.
01:50It also works well for gel corrections, and removes the coating perfectly.
01:55Girillac also has a sharp little tip that allows you to reach even the most hard to access areas.
02:00And now, as we start removing the coating, we can clearly see that the free edge is uneven.
02:07The smile line is not beautifully natural, but rather broken, unclear, and not well defined.
02:14And the saddest thing is that during the manicure, I noticed that the skin reacts very aggressively to any mechanical
02:21interaction with it.
02:22That is, it started turning red just from simply being pushed back.
02:26And there were attempts to treat the cuticle with nippers and bits,
02:30at least to remove something from what had become overgrown there.
02:34But unfortunately, this didn't lead to anything good, and in the end the skin just became completely red.
02:40I only did this manicure on one hand, not even touching the other.
02:44So in the end I just removed the free edge, carefully, very carefully filed the nails,
02:50because even the effect of the nail file was unpleasant.
02:53A flap of skin has come off for her, it was like this everywhere under her nails.
02:58We can already see the condition of the nails now, when, let's say, the acute phase has passed for her.
03:04But nevertheless, all of this will still take quite a long time to heal.
03:08As much as I could, I cut all of this off with nippers, I mean cuticle nippers, cuticle scissors.
03:14Unfortunately, we lacked the technical ability to sand it down, as many would likely suggest now.
03:19Because, I'll say it again, the skin reacted very badly to any kind of mechanical interaction with it.
03:25That's why we didn't finish the manicure completely.
03:28I only cut off everything that was sticking out, everything that could be removed, and I prescribed her some care,
03:34restorative and regenerating products, and then sent her home.
03:37Also, this girl was under my personal supervision.
03:42And every day she sent me photos of the condition of her nails, which, of course, I also kept in
03:48my archive.
03:48At the very end of the video, I'll show you how it all happened.
03:52That is, initially the damage seemed minor, but during the regrowth process, I could clearly see this part of the
03:58nail,
03:59which was eventually under the coating, and it turned yellow, detached, and we kept removing it and restoring it.
04:06And, literally, in just a few months, we were able to bring the nails back to life, meaning they completely
04:12grew out and returned to a good condition,
04:15so now they look absolutely healthy.
04:17Nothing was itchy, nothing was peeling.
04:20Oh, by the way, naturally, as irony would have it, this whole situation happened during the pandemic and the period
04:26right after the pandemic.
04:27At least in our city, when everyone was required to work in gloves, and the girl works in a showroom,
04:34in a clothing store, working with people.
04:36She was forced to constantly wear a mask and gloves, which she was allergic to.
04:40The gloves were latex, causing an allergic reaction.
04:44Latex gloves are statistically more likely to cause allergies compared to nitrile gloves, which I typically use.
04:50You also need to be careful here.
04:53Of course, there were multiple factors involved.
04:56The girl herself is allergic, meaning she has allergies to dust, plants, animals, and maybe some other things as well.
05:03Well, in general, it's a whole bouquet of allergies.
05:06That also impacts the situation.
05:08I also want to note that all these allergic reactions on the nails are just a consequence.
05:14Very often, you have to look for the cause elsewhere.
05:17That is, yes, I can help all this heal, I can help restore it.
05:22But, unfortunately, I can't protect you from this allergy recurring, because I'm only dealing with the consequences.
05:28That's exactly what happened to us. A repeated allergic reaction.
05:31I've already posted a video about it, I'll link to it.
05:34As mentioned earlier, we applied a thin layer to her nails, which are now fully restored.
05:39After the test, everything is fine.
05:41But she wore them for two weeks, and today she came to me and removed the coating for her, and
05:47refused to apply it again.
05:48If everything had gone as planned, we would have done some awesome nails with her today.
05:52With good structure, with strengthening, with everything, so she could have worn them successfully for a month.
05:58But unfortunately, after removing it, I noticed that the free edge became uneven again.
06:04On two nails, there were signs of tiny broken capillaries.
06:09And this happened even though there wasn't even any product applied yet, and the lamp was on low power, and
06:14we didn't use a primer.
06:15And in general, we did all of this as gently as possible, without interacting with the skin at all.
06:20Still, the skin under the nail has begun to peel slightly, which is also visible.
06:25At the very end of the video, I'll show our entire correspondence with her,
06:29or rather our photo correspondence, that is the nails she sent me and how they were recovering.
06:34And I'll finish all this with a photo of what I saw today.
06:38And once again, she and I decided to switch to treatment with growth stimulants.
06:44And I also advised her to see a doctor and start by getting some tests done.
06:48It's still necessary to find out exactly what she's allergic to right now,
06:52and to deal with it at the level of traditional medicine.
06:57Dermatologists and allergists usually prescribe treatments, but that's not my area of expertise.
07:02But in any case, at the very least, she needs to drink more water.
07:05By the way, she actually doesn't drink enough of it.
07:07For people with allergies, that's a crucial factor.
07:10When you have allergies, it's crucial to drink water, because it helps flush out everything from your body that hinders
07:15its normal functioning.

07:20As you can see, the skin is behaving inadequately.
07:22It doesn't respond at all, and unfortunately, nothing helped here.
07:26By the way, she also has moist skin.
07:28Today I gave her this kind of manicure and treated it with talcum powder.

07:37Unfortunately, there is no technical possibility to buff it again.
07:41The skin turns red immediately.
07:44It's better to leave it unfinished than redo it.

08:18During her visit to the factory, she wore latex gloves and experienced an unpleasant incident.
