00:00Thank you again. So, so much excitement in this room tonight. I feel this same
00:04enthusiasm in Marion and Mansfield and Youngstown and Toledo and Lima all over
00:09the state. In cities and suburbs and small towns, in farm country, we're seeing
00:15people show up angry, frustrated, demanding, demanding change. They, Americans,
00:23Ohioans, people in Southwest Ohio, in Butler, in Claremont, in Warren and
00:27especially in Hamilton County, understand how the system is rigged against them
00:33and rigged more than ever. We know the stock market's up. We know corporate
00:38profits have soared. Executive salaries have exploded. Right now, right now, the
00:43average CEO in America makes 17 million dollars a year and that's, that's
00:53troubling enough, but what's worse is that CEOs, get this, are making 300 times what
01:01the average worker in their company is making. Yet, you know, Ohio workers are
01:07more productive than ever. You work harder than ever, but no matter how hard you work,
01:12your pay isn't keeping up and you can't get ahead. Families see more money going out
01:19the door, not enough money coming in to pay for utilities and health care and
01:24groceries, to pay for everything. Big banks, big banks pile fees on top of fees
01:30on every little thing, then they shower their executives with bonuses. Insurance
01:35companies take your premiums every month, then they do everything they can to
01:39refuse the coverage, to refuse to cover the care you need after they put you on
01:45hold for what seems like forever. Drug, drug companies, drug companies force you
01:51to pay more than people overseas pay for the same drug, the same dosage, the same
01:57packaging, then rake in the profits. And more recently, big corporations gobble up
02:04energy to feed their data centers. They, they devour your land, they suck up your water,
02:13they leave you with the bill. And no one, no one in Washington is standing up to these
02:20corporations who game the system and raise your prices. Instead, instead, politicians,
02:28people who are supposed to work for you, are cashing in. And most troubling, when, when
02:35they're in office, they play the stock market. When they leave office, they become
02:40lobbyists. Speaking of that, there is John Hustedt.
02:52Special, special interest John in Columbus, now special interest John in
02:57Washington. He's, he said, these are, I'm going to directly quote him, he says, Ohioans
03:03don't know how to quote, navigate the real world. He says, he says, you just need to make
03:10more money. He said, you just need to do more work. And most insulting of all, he says, the
03:17American's worth ethic is just broken. Now, go to, go to Cincinnati Children's, talk to a nurse on the night
03:27shift, or an orderly pushing a wheelchair, or a worker changing the sheets.
03:31Tell them they need to work harder. Or go to, or go to Frederick Douglass Elementary, talk to the cafeteria
03:38worker preparing food for hundreds of children, or the school custodian who cleans up after them and cleans the building,
03:45or the teacher who dips into her own pocket to pay for school supplies.
03:50Tell them they need to make more money. Talk, talk to the workers here at the bar and back here
03:55on their feet all day, and then tell me, no, tell them their work ethic is better.
04:01It's broken. Everyone in this room, think about your own jobs. How dare John Husted say the work ethic in
04:08Ohio is broken? How dare he?
04:14If you ever see him in Ohio, which you probably won't, tell him, tell him, John, this is the real
04:20world. But it's, it's, it's, it's bad enough. It's bad enough how he talks. It's even worse what he's done.
04:28He voted, he voted 12 times, not, only a few weeks ago, I was saying nine times. Now he voted
04:3412 times for a war in Iran, that's raised the price of gas and groceries and, and diesel and fertilizer.
04:43And unbelievably again, John Husted said the war is going, I quote, much better than anyone thought it would.
04:51Now, John Husted voted not once, not twice, nine times against lowering health insurance premiums. Why?
04:59He's taken $700,000 from the same insurance companies that are jacking up premiums in Ohio.
05:07He cast, he cast a deciding vote to take healthcare away from 490,000 Ohioans. Why?
05:16All to pay for a tax cut for his billionaire buddies and corporate cronies.
05:23He was, get ready, more's coming.
05:28And you'll see more of it in the campaign on TV and elsewhere and rallies everywhere.
05:32He was at the center, he was at the center of the largest bribery scandal in Ohio history.
05:37A $61 million bribe that hiked up your electricity prices.
05:44And now, and look, look, look what he's done with data centers, all 226 of them.
05:51John Husted led the charge, he led the charge.
05:54He was the point man to bring these data centers to Ohio, dozens and dozens.
05:59He delivered, he delivered giant corporations billions of dollars in sweetheart tax deals.
06:04Ohioans now pay thousands more on their utility bills.
06:09It's exactly, it's exactly what people hate about politics.
06:13Special interest John Husted works for corporations, not for Ohio.
06:19And all of us pay for it every day.
06:24And you know this for sure, Ohioans don't have anyone fighting for you.
06:31Until November. Until November.

06:59Talk to your, here's where I really need you, talk to your neighbors.
07:02Go out of here, you know a lot of people and they will listen to you because you know more
07:07about government and politics and fighting for people than most of your friends and most of your neighbors and most
07:12of your family members.
07:14And that's why I need you to talk to your neighbors.
07:16Tell them Ohio, Ohio just doesn't have to accept this corruption.
07:19Tell them, tell them what we're going to do.
07:21Tell them we're going to ban health insurance companies from denying care that your doctors say you need.
07:27And if that doesn't work, we'll fine them when they deny care.
07:35Tell them, tell them how we're going to make it illegal for drug companies to charge Americans more than they
07:41do in other countries.
07:45The same, the same pill should be the same price.
07:50But it's, you know, you see all this, you just wonder, you wonder what's happening in our country.
07:56You wonder what's happening in Columbus.
07:57You wonder what's happening in Washington.
07:59It's not that hard to figure out.
08:00Last year, last year, this is, this is, I almost don't believe this, but I know it's true.
08:05Last year, members of Congress, last year, members of Congress made more than $635 million in stocks trades.
08:14$635 million in stock trades.
08:17No wonder, no wonder they're not standing up to these special interests.
08:21They're too busy lining their own pockets.
08:23No one, no one who serves in Congress, no spouse should be able to trade stocks, period.
08:36They also, they also shouldn't be able to turn around when they leave office and become a lobbyist.
08:44And if, if you can't agree to that, no stock trades, don't become a lobbyist.
08:48If you can't agree to that, you should not be in public office, period.
09:00Ohio, Ohioans won't stand for this, take you on the road, all right.
09:08Ohioans won't stand for this rig system any longer.
09:10Ohio is fighting back.
09:12You're showing up, you're insisting on change, you're demanding a senator who will work for Ohio,
09:17not for the utility companies, not for the drug companies, not for Wall Street, not for Big Oil,
09:22someone who will be on your side, period.
09:34We're, you're all here for this.
09:36That's why I'm in this race, that's why Connie's in this race.
09:39We are demanding a government that works for Ohio.
